Mentally Healthy and Mission Ready

Listen Later

In this episode of The Busy Brained Saint Podcast is inspired by my brother's upcoming mission to Nicaragua. I explore the reasons behind the new efforts to support missionaries within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints specific to their mental health.

I explain why there is a growing focus on preparing missionaries not only spiritually and physically but also mentally. With societal changes and increased awareness of mental health needs, our approach to missionary service must adapt. I share insights on how members of the church can support prospective missionaries better, drawing from my experience as an ADHD coach and my own mission. This episode highlights the broader implications for future missionaries and the critical role mental health plays in their preparation and success.

Join me as I discuss the intersection of faith, service, and mental well-being, offering strategies to support missionaries on their journey. I delve into the importance of creating an environment where missionaries feel supported and understood, addressing the unique challenges they face today. By fostering open communication and providing resources for mental health, we can help our missionaries thrive. Listen in to discover practical ways to uplift and strengthen the next generation of missionaries, ensuring they are well-prepared for the physical, spiritual, and mental demands of their service.
