In this video, we take a look at Sigmund Freud's Grief Work Theory. This theory is based on the idea that in order to move on from a loss, we must first process our grief. We'll discuss the four stages of grief and explore how they can help us understand our own grieving process.

Grief is a complicated process that doesn't follow set rules or stages. You may wonder if you're "doing it right," what exactly you should be feeling, and when. Grief is unique to everyone who experiences it, which makes it all the more difficult to understand and know what to expect. However, there are two acronyms - HEALING and DERAILERS - that can serve as a helpful guide to navigating through grief. Grief is a difficult journey, but by following these milestones, you can make it just a little bit easier

This episode is about Dr. Therese Rando's 6 R of mourning. Dr. B will review the 6 R's and share her personal and professional views about the steps. Dr. B is in 45 days of grief series, and part of it is reviewing different books and processes of grief as part of her mission to turn her pain into purpose. The 6 R's of mourning are a great way to approach the grieving process. However, they should not be seen as the only way or the right way. Everyone experiences grief in their own unique way and it is important to honor those feelings. If you are struggling with your grief, please reach out for help. Many people want to support you during this difficult time. Thank you for listening to my review of Dr. Therese Rando's book, The Six Rs of Mourning.
Do you want to learn more about the physical aspect of grief?
Today I will talk about Dr. Mary Frances O'Connor's extensive research on the physical aspect of grief. You'll learn about how grief can manifest physically and how to be mentally strong during this challenging time.
This video is about grief and how to cope with it. Dr.William Worden provides a framework of four tasks that help us understand how people journey through grief. Healing happens gradually as grievers address these tasks in no specific order, going back and forth from one to another over time. In my video, I discuss these tasks with my knowledge as a psychiatric nurse professional and as a mother who lost 3 of her children in a course of 17 years.
Although grasping grief is challenging, Dr.Lois Tonkin's theory of growing around your Grief has resonated with me. Her visuals and explanation make it easier to understand, and I believe that it can be helpful for those who are struggling with their Grief. Time may not heal all wounds, but by growing around our Grief, we can come to terms with what has happened and find ways to move forward. Thank you for following my journey through Grief, and I hope you will continue to watch as I explore other theories in the coming weeks.
