Iain McGilchrist is a Consultant Emeritus of the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital, London, a former research Fellow in Neuroimaging at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, Baltimore, a former Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, an Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a former Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Stellenbosch. Donald Hoffman is Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He earned his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles in Quantitative Psychology, and received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Computational Psychology. He is an author of over 120 scientific papers and three books, including “The Case Against Reality: Why Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes.” (2019). He has a TED Talk titled “Do We See Reality as It Is?". In addition to his positions at UC Irvine, Hoffman has been a guest lecturer at the Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung at Universität Bielefeld in Germany (The Center for Interdisciplinary Research at Bielefeld University). He has received awards from the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Sciences, the Chopra Foundation, and from the students of UC Irvine. Hoffman has also been awarded grants from the National Science Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the Faggin Foundation, the Office of Naval Research and the Department of Defence. Patricia Churchland is Professor Emerita of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego and an Adjunct Professor at the Salk Institute. She holds degrees from Oxford University, the University of Pittsburg and the University of British Columbia. She has contributed to the fields of philosophy of neuroscience, philosophy of the mind and neuroethics. Her research has centered on the interface between neuroscience and philosophy with a current focus on the association of morality and the social brain. She has been awarded the MacArthur Prize, The Rossi Prize for Neuroscience and the Prose Prize for Science. Eric Schwitzgebel is Professor of Philosophy at University of California at Riverside. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Stanford and his PhD in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley. He blogs at The Splintered Mind and is the author of Perplexities of Consciousness (2011) and A Theory of Jerks and Other Philosophical Misadventures (2019). Ralph Lewis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He is a clinical psychiatrist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada and a psycho-oncology consultant at the Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto.
