  • The Successful Formula of Intrinsic Motivation

Looking to others for exercise motivation can work, but can set you up for failure. However, there is a different type of motivation that can help avoid potential fitness pitfalls. If you already have an understanding of Intrinsic Motivation then you are on the right track. You were born with a turn-on switch to live your life the way you see fit. Now, what if I told you that switch is nothing compared to the power supply of what resides in you? Intrinsic motivation is what will get you through the tough times in training your mind and body to become one. Here's an episode to see if you have what it takes. Keep training your tribe!

  • Changing Standards to Come Down

Never compromise your standards. At least that's what we tell ourselves when we want to stand for our principles. So why is it lately, that there are those who make policy pushing to lower recognized expectations? In this week's episode, we discuss the standards of what we have known in the past. The change to lower achievements for the present to accommodate those who cannot is counterproductive. And who does it really benefit? In the world of health, there are no benefits to shortchanging what you need to do physically, to be fit, and reduce health risks.

Specifically, the amount of caffeine to consume and what really is going on when we drink liquid energy. A tremendous shout-out to my friend who is traveling the roads of our nation and who had the idea for this week's episode. • Dangers Of Low Fitness Expectations

This episode is one that I am extremely passionate about. For long listeners of the podcast, you all know that we do not mince words. As a matter of fact, some might say we are rude in our delivery. Of course, I totally disagree. Do not mistake the delivery of the message for what it is trying to say. Creating low expectations creates low self-esteem, effort, and perception of who you truly can become. At least fitness-wise. To say this is one of my favorite episodes to record is true. There is a change out there, but not necessarily for the better. As always check out www.drclintcepeda.com for all the details.

  • What Is Real Muscle?

What is real muscle? It is an interesting question when you consider that every person may have a different answer. However, there is really just one answer that we can all agree on. Real muscle has to last. Whether it lasts a lifetime or just a period in your life that will be up to you. This week's episode is one that will get you thinking that age is really just a number. Your exercise practices now will determine your wellness foundations for years to come.

  • The Dangers of Inactivity

No movement means no progress. This can be true in any setting; especially in exercise. If you don't move you will always be complacent in your current status. In terms of fitness and exercise, you cannot be in shape if you are constantly out of shape. The movement you need is the movement you require. Be active in whatever you choose to physically do. But if you are inactive, what you see, feel, and complain about within your body is multiplied with no end in sight. Although being inactive can seem fine in the short term, its negative effects are lifelong if not dealt with accordingly.

  • Nothing Required For All The Results

Thanks for tuning into MIndful Personal Training. This week we tackle something that really makes me question the intentions of advertisers. Now we can all say that product awareness is their job. However, what happens when the advertisement is an absolute LIE! The golden rule that you can never get something for nothing applies prominently in the exercise and fitness industry. If you have fallen for weight loss products and services that promise the world only to deliver temporary or false claims then this episode is for you. I know the power of desperate thoughts can take over your better judgment. But you cannot fall into that chasm of despair by believing everything you hear, read, or see. This is especially true in the pursuit of exercise. Stay mindful. For more information head on over to www.drclintcepeda.com.
