It was a very good weekend for our beloved Cornhuskers.

The Nebraska men’s basketball team defeated Creighton, ranked Creighton, and in doing so held their star Ryan Kalkbrenner to four total points, all from the free throw line. Given his performance before that game, that is a most incredible stat, and I hope it bodes well for the rest of the men’s basketball season.

The women lost to Creighton, and sadly, before that, they also lost Natalie Potts, last year’s Big Ten Freshman of the Year, for the season with an ACL injury. The women are still ranked 25th in the nation, and the men are garnering votes.

Then we get to the biggest news of the weekend, where Nebraska crushed the Wisconsin Badgers, winning their sixth win, earning them the right to go to a bowl game, and exorcizing a lot of demons.

They scored on every possession in the red zone, and given that they were 127th in the red zone coming into this game, that’s pretty impressive.

To top all that off, Nebraska volleyball swept Wisconsin!

It was a really fun weekend all around, and while everybody seems to be focusing on the we’re going to a bowl game aspect of this, we can top the regular season off by beating those sons of bitches from Iowa.

Wouldn’t that be great?
