  • How to Run from Your Own Mind

Have you tried drinking your problems away? Have you tried escaping reality with drugs? Have you hopped in your car and spontaneously drove somewhere random just to get away? How many times have you tried to escape, yet the problem still seems to linger? Spoiler alert: we can’t run from ourselves, no matter how hard we try. With new stay-at-home orders in place, it’s easy to feel suffocated, trapped, isolated, and alone. Although there’s a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, that doesn’t mean that YOUR world has to be uncertain. I encourage you to listen to this episode if you’re feeling less than yourself or feeling like your emotions are negatively taking control of your life. • Comparison is the Death of Authenticity

Do you ever look at someone else's life and ask yourself why you can't be as successful, productive, inspirational, motivational, helpful, beautiful as he/she is? If you answered no, then you're lying. It's natural for us to compare our own progress to that of others. However, it's not normal to compare your life so much so that it begins to discourage you or hinder your own progress. It's time to ask yourself what your "why" is behind why you dream what you dream and why you do what you do in order to manifest the goals you've always wanted for yourself. • Ready? Set? Let Go.

While we deal with difficult moments in our lives, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important. When we submerge ourselves into situations that bring us constant worry, pain, anxiety, and stress, we tend to forget about the things we’re grateful for and blessed to have in our lives. In this newest podcast episode, I discuss various ways on how to invite more gratitude into your life, despite how difficult your life may be at this very moment. By inviting more gratitude and more awareness into the present moment, we learn to let go of situations that are completely out of our control; and, by doing so, we learn to just simply be. If you need to reset, refocus your priorities, and shift your awareness away from the past or the future and into the NOW, then this episode is for you. So sit back, relax, and enjoy!

  • Pain, Depression, Addiction, Oh My!

Addiction is complex, misunderstood, confusing, and heartbreaking. Not only do the decisions and actions of an addict affect his or her own life, but it dramatically affects any loved ones involved. In this episode, I dive deeper into the relationship I’m in with an addict and how it’s challenged my emotional state of being, mental health, and strength. While this time in my life has been extremely painful, I’m learning more about myself and the world by learning how to become a more understanding, compassionate, and grounded person. In this episode, you’ll learn how to replace judgement with understanding and pain with love. If you’re in a relationship with an addict or someone you love is struggling with substance abuse and it’s taking a toll on your own life, I encourage you to listen to this episode. • Stop Suppressing Your Sh*t, and Learn to Cope

Emotions are nuanced and complex. Sometimes, we think we understand how we're feeling, but our subconscious tells us otherwise. If you're like me, you've learned to suppress, ignore, and repress any emotion other than happiness. But, suppression only enables you to live a numb lifestyle: without feeling ALL emotions, it's impossible to truly feel and enjoy happiness and joy. In this episode, you'll learn how to tap into your past in order to rid your soul of past grief and pain that you've never wanted to deal with. You'll learn how to be more emotionally aware in hopes that you can be more in tune with your body and your mind on a day to day basis in order to live more freely in the present moment. • Hate is the Death of Forgiveness. Pt. 2

In a world full of social turmoil and injustice, we are faced with so many opposing opinions and so many different voices. Through injustice comes inequality, and through inequality comes anger and pain. Anger and pain are valid; however, they are not an excuse to ridicule, to hate, or to oppress others in return. In this episode, I discuss various ways to eliminate hate from your life and to replace it with forgiveness. To forgive is to be free. We can continue to blame the world and people for our problems. Or, we can learn to let go, forgive, accept, and walk this world together. This world needs more forgiveness; this world needs more compassion. If you're having trouble finding the strength to forgive and to rid yourself of your anger and pain, then this episode is for you. So sit back, relax, and enjoy. Happy Listening.

  • I F*cked Up. Here's my Public Apology.

In this emotional episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Tracy, from @athrivelife on Instagram, regarding racism and the story behind the Romani people. As Halloween quickly approaches, we're expected to choose costumes that are in good taste that do not culturally appropriate. I dressed up as a fortune teller for a Halloween party not understanding that this is a major and racist issue that many people of Romani decent face on a daily basis. My ignorance around this topic was met with anger, and my dm's FLOODED with hateful and hurtful messages. For someone who did not understand the issue, these spiteful messages brought about confusion and extreme emotional overwhelm. In this episode, Tracy and I dive deep into the difficult history the Romani people had to face while also discussing how to approach this situation in the future with more love and less hate. Hate is never the answer. If you're looking to better educate people on difficult social issues or controversial topics but tend to approach people with animosity stemming from deep rooted pain and frustration, then this episode is for you. If you're looking to gain more insight as to why this topic is a serious issue, then this episode is also for you. So open your ears, welcome conversation, strive to educate, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Happy Listening!
