Another woman, Carol Bullock from Cloverdale, donated two backpacks with supplies inside. Niki Reitmayer drove out to Surrey yesterday to pick-up her donation and to ask Carol why she was inspired to help:

In an interview today on the Simi Sara Show, Jody Wilson-Raybould was asked if she felt the pressure that was brought to bear on her on the SNC-Lavalin file was a violation of the criminal code.

She told host Mike Smyth that she does not believe so based on the information she has - but that last week’s report by the ethics commissioner contains new details and that the RCMP may have more information to hand that she is not privy to.

Should Canada repatriate Isis fighters like Jihadi Jack?

That was Prime Minister Justin Trudeau not really expressing any enthusiasm for trying to secure the release of “Jihadi” Jack Letts.

Letts has Canadian citizenship as well as British, but has spent his life in the U-K. Now, the UK has revoked his citizenship for that country - and because international law prohibits countries from making people ‘stateless’, that means Canada can’t follow suit. So as one insider at the UK government describes it, Jihadi Jack is “Canada’s problem now”.

He spoke to ITV News last night from a Kurdish prison in Syria, and he says he’s hoping Canada can help him out.

BC Taxi Association criticizes ride hailing regulations announced by the provincial government

The NDP out with its new ridehailing regulations, that will allow an unlimited number of ridehailing vehicles to operate in B.C.

That’s despite pleas from the taxi industry - and as we’ve been hearing today - they’re not happy with the newly-announced rules.

Border Services agents arrest multiple people during a raid of Hastings Racecourse

Canada Border Services agents have removed several people from the Hastings Racecourse in Vancouver.

A number of people employed and supervised by various horse owners and trainers were escorted off the site on Monday morning.

The CBSA says it was conducting investigations at the track related to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Dustin Napier, 29, Latasha Bryant, 28, and Timothy Storms, 33 from Kentucky 

 

This trio’s criminal career may be running out of gas.

 

Authorities in southern Kentucky said Dustin, Latasha and Timothy were arrested this week after they broke into a home and stole a jug of what they thought was gasoline… 

 

After filling their tank with it and driving away in their getaway car, they found out it was not gasoline. It was peroxide.  

 

The police were able to arrest the trio once their car broke down not far from the crime scene due to the fact they had filled it with peroxide. 

 

All three were arrested.
