In an interview today on the Simi Sara Show, Jody Wilson-Raybould was asked if she felt the pressure that was brought to bear on her on the SNC-Lavalin file was a violation of the criminal code.

She told host Mike Smyth that she does not believe so based on the information she has - but that last week’s report by the ethics commissioner contains new details and that the RCMP may have more information to hand that she is not privy to.

Oppenheimer Park residents ordered to leave by Wednesday evening

6pm Wednesday - that's the deadline the General Manager of the Vancouver Park Board has given the 200 homeless people camping out in Oppenheimer Park on the Downtown Eastside, to get out.

BC Housing says it has more than 100 units of safe, stable housing available.

In a news release, the City says the safety of those in the park is key, and there have been 17 fires there since February.

Yesterday House is living in a tent at Oppenheimer Park with her husband. She has been there for over three weeks and says she was forced out of an SRO due to unlivable and dangerous conditions. Yesterday told Niki Reitmayer that two unidentified women - likely volunteers or social workers - told her they’d find her help...but she hasn’t seen them in weeks:

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer wants the RCMP to take another look at the SNC-Lavalin scandal. He says it's warranted based on last week's report by the federal ethics commissioner and former justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould's revelation to Global News that the RCMP interviewed her in the spring.

Scheer says he wants the Mounties to determine whether Prime Minister Trudeau committed a crime in addition to violating the Conflict of Interest Act.

Jihadi Jack is “Canada’s problem now” after UK strips citizenship

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale's office says countries need to work together to keep each other safe, and Canada is disappointed the United Kingdom is off-loading its responsibilities concerning a dual British-Canadian citizen imprisoned in Syria.

Jack Letts -- dubbed ``Jihadi Jack'' by the British media -- travelled to Syria in 2014 to support the Islamic State group. The UK has now stripped Letts of his British citizenship.

It's not exactly clear where that leaves Letts, but Goodale's office says Canadians involved in terrorism or violent extremism must be held accountable for their actions.

Our Claire Allen has been speaking to a couple named Jennifer and Eric - they’ve been living in Oppenheimer Park for about four months. They previously were in an SRO and say it wasn’t very nice. 

CKNW Contributors Claire and Eric have been down at Oppenheimer Park today speaking to the residents who have been served eviction notices from the park board. One person they spoke to was  Will, a young man living in a tent in Oppenheimer Park. 

While sitting in his tent, he spoke with them about his current struggles with substance abuse, mainly fentanyl, and how he ended up living in a tent in Oppenheimer Park. 

While speaking with Will, the scene at Oppenheimer Park was quite active, but calm. There was a police presence in the park, but it seemed like everyone was taking the eviction notice in stride. However, Will told Claire and Eric that the park can be anything but calm at night…
