Motorcycle companies aren’t normally owned by engineers, but maybe they should be. Joe Karvonen is the owner of Krämer Motorcycles U.S.A. and he’s an engineer who learned his trade at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. He’s also a club racer and a track-day rider. A perfect fit for a company that manufactures track-day and race bikes, including the purpose-built Krämer APX-350 MA that is being raced in MotoAmerica’s new Parts Unlimited By Motul Talent Cup. We caught up with Karvonen at the recent Road America round to talk about Krämer, the Talent Cup, and much more on this week’s episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

Five-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier and four-time champion Josh Hayes are tied at the top of the all-time AMA road race win list with 89 wins apiece. That’s a combined total of 178 career wins between the two former rivals and fast friends. We wrangled both of them to join us on this week's episode of the Off Track With Carruthers and Bice podcast to talk about the past, the present, and the future, as both will be chasing win number 90 this weekend at Road America.

It's hard to argue against Road America being one of the best racing facilities in the world. The track itself is long, it's fast, and it always produces close races. As for the rest of it... well, you'd have to look long and hard to find even a blade of grass that's out of place. A favorite of MotoAmerica's racers, teams and fans, the series is excited to be heading to the picturesque circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, May 30-June 1. Who better to assist an injured motorcycle racer than a doctor who has been riding and racing motorcycles since his childhood? We got the chance to chat with the personable Dr. Price on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice to talk about the serious side of our sport - injuries and how to treat them. This week's podcast focuses specifically on the new groundbreaking Abbott technology that allows Dr. Price to use a blood test to help assess riders with suspected concussions on-site at all MotoAmerica events.

Laid-back South African Dominic Doyle, who now calls Columbus, Indiana, home, is a bonafide championship contender in the 2025 MotoAmerica SC-Project Twins Cup Championship. With two rounds and four races in the bank, Doyle is third in the championship with three podiums out of the four races. Unfortunately, mechanical issues kept him from scoring points in race one at Barber Motorsports Park or he'd be even closer to the front. In addition to racing his Giaccmoto Yamaha Racing YZF-R7 in the SC-Project Twins Cup series, Doyle also races a Yamaha MT-09 SP in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship, and that's what he will be racing in the next round of the MotoAmerica Championship at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, May 4-6.  We caught up with Doyle in the days leading up to the Road Atlanta round to talk about his racing and much more on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

Mallory Dobbs is living the dream. Despite getting a late start to motorcycling and ultimately motorcycle racing at the age of 22, Dobbs is most definitely making up for lost time. In 2023, Dobbs raced in both MotoAmerica Supersport and the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship. And the next thing you know, she's off racing in Europe in the new FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship. We caught up with the world traveler from her hotel room in Spain just a week after competing in the opening round of the 2025 FIM series so she could fill us in on all things Mallory Dobbs for this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice

Peter Clifford is the director of rider development and media for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, or, as he refers to it, the "Headmaster." Prior to being the man in charge of the Rookies Cup program, Clifford was a motojournalist who covered MotoGP before it was called MotoGP. He was also the team manager for Bob MacLean's World Championship Motorsports (WCM)  team that fielded such racers as Simon Crafar and John Hopkins. We caught up with Clifford at the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas in Austin, Texas, recently to chat about that as well as MotoAmerica's new Parts Unlimited Talent Cup By Motul, and what the riders who get invited to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup tryouts can expect.
