Mountain Murders

Arthur Shawcross hits all the marks on the McDonald Triad plus... an abusive childhood, head injuries, firestarter, bedwetter, etc. He would grow up to become a petty criminal then a serial killer.

Known as the "Genessee River Killer" or "Rochester Strangler", Arthur Shawcross murdered 11 marginalized women who were drug addicts, homeless, sex workers or suffered intellectual disabilities. He was a monster.

But his crimes didn't start there. Mountain Murders will take you through the life of a sick devil. Arthur Shawcross was a pedophile, child killer, arsonist, rapist, petty thief, and serial killer.

A small Georgia town is rattled when an elderly couple Sarah and Carl Collier are brutally murdered in their home. Word soon spreads that the culprit is Holly Harvey, their troubled teenage granddaughter and her girlfriend Sandy Ketchum.

Holly and Sandy both had broken childhoods. The pair became fast friends which blossomed into a romantic relationship--something that was not widely accepted at the time by their families or classmates.

Together the girls will commit a heinous murder that still haunts many residents of Fayetteville, Ga today. Join Mountain Murders as we discuss the details of the crime.

Described by media as the new Ted Bundy, Danny Starrett preyed upon young women in Georgia and South Carolina in the late 1980s. Through classified ads, he was hunting for victims--not good deals.

The handsome, charming professional with wife and baby shocked his family and the community when they learned of his double life. The "golden boy" was a brutal serial rapist, kidnapper and murderer.
