Alexander Payne's 2011 film The Descendants provides Joe & Adam a lovely dive into his filmography and a conversation about the director's desire to hold back. Jeff Bridges' brother sparks a musical jaunt through his whole back catalogue. The well of Clooney vs Pitt is revisited once more. 

Sci-fi, Spielberg and tonal confusion abound today; Joe & Adam dig into the 2001 Philip K Dick book adaptation of the same name… it’s not called Philip K Dick, it’s called Minority Report.

Joe & Adam dive into James Cameron's 1989 film The Abyss, reportedly one of the hardest films to make in the history of cinema. The pair discuss: other hard-to-make movies, how they did the rat thing, and how Ed Harris got in deep water, in deep water, etc.

Joe runs down some of the films he’s seen lately for this non-canon episode, with The Wild Robot, Spy, The Batman, 65, The Holdovers and Kramer vs Kramer sparking all kinds of musings and digressions. Adam chips in with a moan about beekeeping.
