Girls-In-Focus is now getting involved with cutting edge animation & green screen. Both of the mothers are/were very educational, knowledge, discipline and were phenomenal renaissance women celebrating life as art and visa versa. Keeping her mother alive via her words. They will be reading it for the Girls In Focus book club soon. Parents are pillars who guide us through our lives... Dunya's father inspired her to follow in her father's footsteps and became a film maker. Creative kindred spirits.

Annie suggested that since Covid and global events emotions are high and we need to support one another and groups like NAMI are available for all kinds of free group support for grief and dealing with family members who may suffer from mental illness. How the silver lining of this event needs to be us all caring for one another being kind, seeking the help we need.

Both Dunya and Ann have found tremendous community support during the pandemic with one another, on their cancer journey with various centers. In west LA the Cancer Support Community on Bundy and Olympic. The Foundation for Living Beauties. B4BC Skate the Coast, Camp Koru, First Descents. Along with the other many communities Surfrider Foundatio, Sierra Club, LA Waterkeeper, Heal the Bay. Ann also has a community of skiers, sailors and other adventure type events as well as Born This Way Foundation and helping out in the Santa Monica Community.

This month we'd both like to shout out our respect and appreciation to Ron Finley an amazing master gardener, Kiss the Ground, Fannie Lou Hamer founder of the Freedom Farm Collective.

Dunya also took a group of 7 women to Sukawati, Bali for a Kundalini Yoga retreat at the incredible Floating Leaf, Eco Luxury Spa in 2019. We got that trip in just in the nick of time before the pandemic fall of 2019. But Bali just announced they are open for business and we highly recommend this truly amazing spot.
