One of the best ways for entrepreneurs and startup founders to ensure this happens is to lead the charge themselves. The same way I share self-care practices on many of my episodes, as a leader it is very important to make people comfortable.

It may involve chronic pain, anxiety and potentially damage work relationships.

Ben Huh, the CEO and founder of Cheezburger, wrote an article about his own struggle with suicidal thoughts after a failed startup experience.

Sean Percival, a co-founder of children’s clothing company Wittlebee, also wrote openly about how the 2013 suicide of a colleague and fellow startup founder impacted his own mental health and encouraged other struggling entrepreneurs to speak up and ask for help.

Having a hobby isn’t just about passing the days or enjoying quality "me time" but is crucial for our well-being and mental health. Having a hobby that we enjoy brings us joy and enriches our lives!

Friendship is the foundation to a healthy relationship! The best way to achieve that is by being curious and asking questions! Curiosity leads to growth! Asking questions is a uniquely powerful tool for building value in relationships!

Friendship is a combination of affection, loyalty, love, respect, and trust. Building friendships takes time and these combinations need to be consistent. The level of friendship will vary depending on the level of investment. 

Customer loyalty: Intention is everything! 

Customer service: Shape your business by being helpful. Ask questions. Same as you would do with a friend. You can only help when you understand the person and the issue.

Customer relationship management: Ask specific questions to build the relationship that is best for you and your customers. Just as you would do with a friend.

What to say when people/clients want to talk about politics?
