Our Xpeng stock analysis looks at the latest XPEV stock news which paints a picture of an electric vehicle company that's struggling to deliver vehicles. Horrible growth metrics aside, they've decided to engage in a pricing war with Tesla which means that their gross margin has now turned negative. Growth is expected to resume in 2023 with new vehicle launches while we're told autonomy is where the real potential is with Xpeng expecting to capture 20 to 40% of the market. $XPEV stock isn't one we would consider at any price. And we haven't even started talking about the VIE structure or the other dangers native to investing in Chinese stocks. Plenty of Xpeng investors are looking for a price prediction, and they need to remember one thing - always invest in companies, not stocks.

  • Miso Robotics Stock - Should You Invest in Miso Robotics?

Should you invest in Miso Robotics stock? Perhaps you've already invested in Miso Robotics, and the first thing to know is that shares are not publicly traded. Unless you can find someone to buy your Miso Robotics shares on a secondary market, or unless the company has an exit such as an IPO (the CEO says that's a ways away) then your shares aren't worth anything. A lack of liquidity is the main reason we never get involved in crowdfunding ventures. Another reason is that investors aren't typically privy to financials which show the health of the company. Did Miso Robotics realize revenue momentum in 2022 from those White Castles deployments? Who knows. We need 2022 financials to be able to tell. What about the $11 million CaliBurger contract? Would be great to know why that never went anywhere. Miso Robotics may be working with big names like Chipotle and Jack in the Box, but until they show traction in the form of meaningful revenues, we'd never consider investing in Miso Robotics stock.

  • Robinhood Stock - A HOOD Stock Review

Robinhood stock has fallen 82% since several years ago when we looked at the HOOD stock debut. So, is there any value to be had in picking up Robinhood stock at a discount? In looking at Robinhood's business, we see that transaction fees have fallen off a cliff since the meme stock mania has subsided. It's no longer easy to make money in stonks, not that it ever was. Most users of the Robinhood app are newbie investors who then choose to dabble in options and cryptocurrencies which is where most of Robinhood's transaction-based revenues come from. However, customers are also depositing cash given that Robinhood offers nearly 5% interest on deposited cash. Overall we'd continue to avoid investing in Robinhood stock because the high interest rate windfall will only last so long, and the type of account they're attracting is one that quickly squanders through their money not understanding the difference between speculating and investing. If Robinhood decided that they actually wanted to democratize access to wealth by helping people become better investors, we might come around for another look. But they're not likely to do that, because that won't generate the type of money they can get from peddling options and crypto.

Risk management in trading is something would-be traders end up investigating once they've had their butts handed to them a few times. It's then they realize the importance of capital preservation - you need money to make money. If you're someone who trades forex, options, stocks, commodities, or everything in between, there's a golden rule you must adhere to - always know how much you stand to lose on any particular trade. Now, once you've figured out that speculating isn't the way to accumulate wealth, you'll look to become an investor with a long-term time horizon. This is where diversification becomes a critically important focus of your risk management strategy. Most importantly, be wary of wolves in sheep's clothing - people with fancy pedigrees peddling some course they claim can help you become a profitable trader. It's all a bunch of BS. Anyone with real risk management experience - who has integrity - would be telling you the cold hard truth - the best way to utilize risk management in trading is to become an investor, not a speculator. We tell you how to do that.

  • NVDA Stock: A Better Alternative

NVDA stock has been soaring lately as analysts increase growth forecasts based on the demand for AI chips. For investors holding NVIDIA stock, it's a good problem to have. For would-be AI chip investors, sitting on the sidelines watching NVDA stock go up everyday creates FOMO. And you know what they say about FOMO - it makes you do stupid stuff. So, is there a better alternative to NVDA stock that allows investors exposure to the growth of AI chips? You might be tempted to invest in AMD stock, and it's certainly valued better than NVDA stock. However, you're investing in a laggard, not a leader. As for investing in the semiconductor industry, that's too diluted and ignores competition coming from outside the semiconductor industry. But that's when you might consider a stock we discovered three years ago that works with all major chipmakers. They're using AI to build better chips. The name of the company can be found in the below articles, or we'll tell you which stock it is in exchange for a top-shelf bottle of booze and/or an ounce of the kindest reefer you can get your hands on. Black market comes to the front of the line.

  • Target Stock - Is TGT a Steal?

Target stock has been growing dividends for over 50 years, managing to grow their dividend by over 11% every year over the past decade. However, TGT stock may be running up against a wall as their profits are being significantly eroded by organized crime. Where, in Mexico? Mexican Mafia? The Japanese Yakuza? No little Johnny, just a bunch of freeloaders who have decided that stealing goods and reselling them is a solid career plan, morals be damned. It's a problem that's only getting worse for Target as some media outlets try to diminish the issue for their own political purposes. The takeaway here for Target investors is the same for anyone holding big box retailer stocks that happen to be dividend champions - until this problem is sufficiently resolved, your quality of life will be decreasing. TGT stock won't be continuing those large dividend increases unless they can get the theft problems under control.

  • AbCellera Stock Analysis - Why ABCL Stock is Falling

AbCellera stock hasn't been treating investors well at any time frame as ABCL stock hits 52-week lows. While AbCellera has plenty of cash and runway, we're more concerned with how quickly they're progressing molecules into the clinic. Now that Eli Lilly's revenues have dried up, we can now have a better picture of the company's financial picture with the one-off aside. In looking AbCellera's clinical pipeline, we're curious why a good chunk of it relates to their mouse platform as opposed to the AI-powered drug discovery platform. To summarize, our AbCellera stock analysis points to a company that's not progressing fast enough if they hope to have more than one drug molecule achieving commercialization in the coming years.

  • Tesla in China - A Risky Adventure

Tesla in China has been a phenomenal success story, not just based on vehicles sold, but because Tesla's Gigafactory is the only foreign owned factory in China. Why is China so welcoming of Tesla? Perhaps it's because you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer. As for Tesla, they see China as a massive opportunity - the biggest automotive market in the world where a third of the world's cars are sold. Tesla is doing quite well in China with about 10 to 15% market share, and they're looking to increase that number through price cuts as they ward off strong competitors like BYD. Elon Musk said the second biggest EV company will come out of China, and it's easy to see why he thinks that when you see the remarkable progress being made by the smart and hard working Chinese.

  • SentinelOne vs CrowdStrike - CRWD Stock vs S Stock

SentinelOne vs CrowdStrike, CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne. These are commonly used search terms by investors looking to find the best cybersecurity stock. Our methodology always prioritizes leaders over laggards, but the Gartner Endpoint Protection quadrant tells us that both SentinelOne and CrowdStrike are leaders. That may be the case, but Crowdstrike is also 6X the size of SentinelOne. While SentinelOne is growing revenues faster than CrowdStrike, that advantage will be eroded as they scale. If we were choosing between CRWD stock vs S stock, we'd go long CrowdStrike - and indeed we did. In this presentation, we talk about at what valuation target we'd consider adding some shares of CrowdStrike stock at.

Carl Icahn vs Illumina - it's turned into a urination contest as Illumina decides to go head first against of Wall Street's most notable activist investors, Carl Icahn. The Illumina GRAIL merger might be one of the most obvious missteps we've ever seen during our decades long journey through tech investing. Going against regulators in multiple jurisdictions despite their warnings is impudent and just plain irresponsible. Illumina's new CEO seems more focused on rubbish like DEI and ESG instead of focusing on bringing new products to market through smart R&D spending (Illumina's R&D spending is increasing while innovation is decreasing). We look at Carl Icahn's plan for Illumina and the long list of criticisms he's leveled at a management team that largely seems stubborn and incompetent.
