The EU president has unveiled plans to hit Russia with fresh sanctions worth nearly 12 billion dollars.

This comes ahead of the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion on February 24th.

The EU has also formed a working group to explore whether frozen Russian assets could be used to help rebuild Ukraine.

If approved, the latest sanctions will restrict technology exports and affect more Russian banks.
