Guest host Meredith Jaffé interviews Suzanne Leal, author of the novels Running with Ivan, The Teacher's Secret, Border Street, and The Deceptions. A regular presenter at literary, corporate, community and school  events, she is the former chair of the fiction and poetry panel for the Prime Minister's Literary Awards and is a board member of BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival.  From 2017 to 2019, she was the senior judge for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. 

A lawyer experienced in child protection, criminal law, and refugee law, Suzanne is a senior member of the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal and former member of the Refugee Review Tribunal.

She's the former chair of fiction and poetry panel for the Prime Minister's Literary Awards and a board director of the BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival and online host of Thursday Book Club.
