After 5 years and 125 episodes News Fighters is going on indefinite hiatus while I work on other projects. But in the meantime I thought I’d re-release some classic episodes to the podcast feed to recap some of our better, least topical moments which hold up to this day.

It’s my fourth annual year in review wrap where I look back on the big Aussie news stories of the year: the floods, the rain, the weather emergencies, the lettuce prices, it’s all here! I look at the diplomatic praise being heaped on Australian Prime Minister Albanese for successfully having a meeting with Chinese President Xi at the G20 and also not being called a liar by French President Macron. Then I take a deep dive into the Victorian State Election where two seemingly left wing socialist candidates are vying to lead the state: Dictator Dan Andrews and Matthew “Lobster with a Mobster” Guy. We analyse their crazy public transport and electricity nationalisation polices and take a look Sky News’ Chris Kenny’s massive meltdown over Dan Andrews promising free period products to Victorian women.
