About Adam: My name is Adam Lyons and I’m a compulsive gambler in recovery and the founder and host of The Modern Meeting podcast. My last bet was February 8, 2022. I started playing poker in college during the poker boom of the early 2000’s and that eventually progressed to casino trips, playing Keno, and heavy amounts of sports betting. After 20 years of chaos, living a double life, and losing hundreds of thousands of dollars, I finally had enough. After the last of my many rock bottoms, I had a spiritual awakening which led me to my first 12-step meeting. Since then I’ve been working the program and sharing my experience, strength, and hope with others.
