Lynn gets upset that her record label is pushing back the release date of her album, while fast tracking new artist, Chrisette Michele, Meanwhile, Monica decides she does not want to know the sex of her baby, but William accidentally text messages the information to her phone.
Maya and Darnell romanticize the idea of adopting, until they attend a neighborhood group for people who have adopted children and are offered a baby girl. Joan tries to corale her sexual urges while Aaron is away in Iraq.
Joan joins a support group for people who have relatives serving in Iraq; however, she is upset when she finds out they are not planning a holiday party due to financial restraints, so she decides to raise the money for a party. William and Monica are trying to establish family traditions as they await the arrival of their new baby. Lynn is gifting excessively due to her positive financial situation, and it is stressing Maya out.
William begins to feel that he is not respected at work so he considers leaving the firm. Monica freaks out thinking that he won't be able to support her and their new baby. Meanwhile, Maya is approached by a neighbor to write a column for the neighborhood newsletter, and Joan gets offended when Lynn doesn't like her housewarming gift. Today's Guest is @xolimdaki
