How do we move forward in life, when we aren't completely sure of what it is we want? How do you create a new identity around your goals, when it feels so separate from who you are now? It is as easy as walking through the grass... In this episode I will share the simple and yet, powerful strategy to get clarity and realize the dreams in your heart.
Everything you want is just beyond your comfort zone. The only way to get there is to take action and move forward, one step at a time. There is a real cost to delaying your dreams and that cost is complacency. The more you put off taking an action, the less likely you will take it in the future. In this episode I will share the experience of getting back on the metaphorical plane for the flight of your life and the small steps to put you back on course.
There is an internal mechanism inside each of us that whispers us to move towards what's good and protect us from what's not. The problem is that society teaches us to ignore this defense system, calling it "emotional" or "illogical". While it may be tempting to pass off responsibility to an expert, their decision will always be flawed, because the person making the decision is not you. In this episode I will share how to "feel" this advice and how it can help you avoid disaster.
Each of us has an internal guide who is willing to give us the answer to any question we ask, so long as we do just that, ask. It is easy to fall into the trap of asking and following other people's advice on the big decisions in our life. Doing so comes at a cost, because they are not you. What if you could access a part of you who has the answers? What would you ask? In this episode I will give you a simple strategy to do just that.
What do you want? Do you even know? The question may spark anxiety for some, but it shouldn't. In this podcast we'll explore the art of getting clarity. What if the universe was guiding you to get more clarity? What if the only thing that was required was for you to simply step out of your comfort zone and to interact with life? This episode will give you a structure for getting more clarity and it is a lot easier than you think...
What is your emotional home? Happy people find ways to be happy and funny people always find a way to infuse laughter. If I were to ask a friend about which reoccurring emotions you feel in a daily basis, what would they tell me? Wouldn't it be nice if we could decide which emotions we felt at any given moment? I'm here to tell you it is possible, but it starts with first become away of the state you're in, so that you can train your mind to respond differently. Tough? Yes. Worth the effort? Definitely.
Is it better to plan or not to plan? That all depends on the situation and your willingness to be uncomfortable. Each comes with its own dark side. Taking action without planning can lead to some surprised that you didn't anticipate, while planning can set you down the path of over planning and perhaps inaction. So which is correct? Either one can be, as long as it is followed by action forward, for that is the only way you will make strides towards the life you want.
What if your only duty in life was to enjoy it? How would that change the way you show up each day? It is easy to get caught up in the "rat-race", but if you would only step out of this routine way of living, you'd realize life is not about that at all. You have options, but it will require you to break your routines long enough for the inspiration in insights to come to you. Do this and I promise you won't regret it.
How many times would you watch a crapy movie? once? Twice? Three times? Chances are you likely wouldn't even complete the first. Then why do you re-tell the same crapy stories in your life? A story is simply the reason we give ourselves as to why we don't have the things we desires. Divorcing your story puts removes the power of the story and puts it back where it belongs, in your hands. What would a new story do for your life?
You can't experience anything outside of your awareness. Said differently, if you want to grow and expand, you need to put yourself out in the real world. This means talking to people, being open to new experiences, and getting out of those patterns that have you living in a groundhog day. Your goals and desires also require you to become aware of what you don't know. What you'll find here is that by taking small, bite size steps, you will create momentum moving into the ever long process of learning.
