  • EPISODE 16: Shortcuts are the Long Way. Why warping ruins the experience.
This episode is about how shortcuts are the long way. What we discussed in this episode is hell using to hack or doing some kind of crazy diet plan will always cost you in the long run. It may cost you an experience knowledge lessons or opportunity. Taking the easy road will cause you to miss things that were meant to be in your life. We all are here to learn through experience to achieve great things and to enjoy the roads that are uniquely ours. I challenge you to look long and hard at why you might be taking the shortcut and ask yourself if in the end it just may be the long road. @mathewfreeman @baseline_training

  • EPISODE 15: Hiding in the Light. Don’t let your gift die slowly.
Episode two of season two hiding in the light is about not letting your gift die slowly. It’s about being seen being vulnerable being exactly who you were made to be. It’s about acting on those promptings in our heart and not second-guessing. It’s about taking action and not worrying what others think about the action. It’s about shining. You see so many of us hide right in the light. We step back to let another step forward only to be jealous when they get the success. We hear things that we think and go I knew that all along but I didn’t say anything and they did. Hiding in the light is about allowing your gift to Shine. You are gifted and you deserve the best. Don’t fear that people won’t like the real you instead fear not letting the real you live and be liked.

  • Episode 13: running into PR’s, bell peppers and bosu balls with Jerimiah Mahan
In this episode I get to interview my good friend, business partner, and one of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the area. Jerimiah Mahan was a collegiate soccer player and post soccer and after some injury he discovered his deeper love for running and powerlifting. What you will learn today is Jerimiah’s history of running, injury sport and how that has shaped his current training regimen, his upcoming goals and how he hit his last goal while running sub 5 minute mile. Yes I do make an error in the show when talking about Roger Bannister and the first to break 4 minute mile but it was somewhat purposeful to show my respect for Jerimiah’s running capacity. While I intended on getting into programming, cross training and more we simply ran out of time. This left an opportunity to have him back. I hope you enjoy this show as much as we did. You can find Jerimiah @jkmahan14 or @baseline_training where he heads our social media team. Also as also find me over at @mathewfreeman

  • EPISODE 11: That’s a Wrap! The conclusion of season one and what’s on the horizon.
In this episode we explore everything that went on in season one and everything that is planned to go on in season two. I spend a few moments thanking everybody for sharing their time with me over season one. I really was overwhelmed with gratitude by the amount of downloads that I actually received on this podcast. When I said out to start a podcast I never suspected that anyone would push play I really just wanted a place to share my thoughts. For those of you that do not know it physically hurts for me to write and I used to love writing. This podcast is giving me a platform to write but with my voice. Also in this episode we explore how being in the group doesn’t mean that you’re actually part of the group. We explore how that can be your perception or the actual truth. This is a very vulnerable moment for me. This is something that is going on for me right now. Something that I’m trying to deal with and figure out. Then we went on to talk about next season to talk about the dialogs the monologues and the mini episodes that I’ll be doing in the future. So I look forward to talking to you more in season two and I thank you again for being part of season one. • EPISODE 10: Phraseology. How we word something can alter how the statement effects us.
Today I recorded the first minisode. This is a quick 3-7 minute thought of the day: something for you to think about and implement right away. Today we discussed how the way you phrase a sentence can dramatically change what that sentence says to you. It can hurt you or help with a simple flip of the words. We also talk about changing the word but with and. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

  • Episode 9: my personal food roller coaster and fat to fit to fat to fit story
Hey guys in this episode we explore my personal journey with food and how it relates to my change. I believe the roller coaster that I’ve had with food and the experiments that I have placed upon myself have helped me in every area of my life and at the same time are parallel with other experiences. I believe life is a series of experiences and experiments. With these experiences and experiments we learn we just we try again and we move forward and that is the joy of life. I hope through this personal sharing of my struggles my wins and my knowledge today that you learn a little something about nutrition. I also hope you learned a little something about how it relates to life parenting work and more. I believe Joy is gained through the chances we take. Thank you for taking a chance on listening and as always I welcome your feedback. You can catch me on Instagram @mathewfreeman

  • Episode 8: Heavy Ceilings and short apologies.
In episode 8 I spend a few minutes apologizing for failing to honor my podcast every week for 10 weeks commitment. I got sick and simply decided to spare you the coughing in your ears episode. My hope is you forgive me. Instead I waited until today to talk about what you do when you are stricken with overwhelm. When the ceiling feels to heavy to manage. When you feel that there is little left in the tank. How do you recharge that. How do you gain perspective and then proceed with alleviating the overwhelm.
