Sam Leavitt might be leaving Arizona State per On3. Could he be on the way to Texas Tech or will he and Kenny Dillingham leave for LSU?

BYU and Utah are the last two teams out of the College Football Playoff field in the latest rankings. It seems like the committee is waiting to pull the wool over the Big 12's eyes here. Texas Tech is up to five. Do they have a path into the top four?

We break down a full wish list for the College Football Playoff selection committee this week: can the SEC really get six teams while the Big 12 fights just to get two bids? I walk through a complete rooting guide for Big 12 fans, how Texas Tech, BYU and Utah stack up in the latest playoff picture, and where contenders like Notre Dame, USC, Miami, Michigan and the ACC champ fit into the at-large race. Plus, I dive into Big 12 title game scenarios if Tech or BYU slip up, why the ACC is taking the same heat the Big 12 got last year, what Kenny Dillingham staying at Arizona State means for the league’s future, and the latest on the coaching hot seat for Dave Aranda, Sonny Dykes and Chris Klieman.

Utah crushes Baylor with a series of 60+ yard touchdown runs. The Utes got the style points they needed, but the rest of college football didn't cooperate.

Tony Petitti’s controversial $2.4 billion Big Ten Enterprises private capital plan is tearing the league apart, with USC and Michigan now questioning their future and even sparking talk of going independent. I break down how the 10% UC Investments stake, the new grant of rights through 2046 and uneven revenue shares create big winners and losers, and why some insiders think it’s “headed towards blowing things up.” Then we dive into what Baylor AD Mack Rhoades stepping away from Baylor and the College Football Playoff selection committee chair role means for the Big 12’s playoff hopes, how an SEC AD now running the room changes the politics, and why BYU and Utah’s at-large paths are shrinking fast. We also hit the latest Kenny Dillingham rumors at Arizona State, how this coaching carousel could reshape the Big 12, and preview a massive Week 12 slate with Jon Wilner, including what it all means for Texas Tech, BYU, Utah and the rest of the Big 12 in the 12-team CFP era.

Texas Tech just proved it’s a playoff-caliber team, and the Big 12’s national credibility jumped with it. We break down how Tech’s defense and week-to-week focus have elevated Joey McGuire’s squad, what BYU’s loss really means for the conference’s two-bid hopes, and why an epic first-round playoff matchup could be coming. Plus, the ACC’s nightmare weekend, AP poll behavior on BYU vs Utah, and fresh Big 12 power rankings.

Texas Tech vs BYU Big 12 recap and analysis: why the Red Raiders’ defense overwhelmed the Cougars, how Jacob Rodriguez (11 tackles, INT) and David Bailey wrecked drives, and what Behren Morton’s reported hairline fracture means going forward. We break down the numbers (BYU 2.7 YPC, 4.4 YPP; Tech 5.9 YPC sack-adjusted), the pass-rush plan that contained Bear Bachmeier, BYU’s costly special-teams errors, red-zone issues for Tech without a QB run threat, and standout efforts like Jack Kelly’s two sacks. Plus, what this loss means for BYU’s at-large hopes and Tech’s Big 12/title and playoff ceiling.
