Party Favorz — Dance Music Podcast

This 90s Classic House installment of The Ultimate 90's House Classics series covers 1996–1997 and maps how classic house widened into mainstream pop and peak‑hour club territory. Volume 4 highlights the era’s move toward bigger-room, vocal-led edits and the remix stars who carried R&B and pop onto dancefloors. The set reads as a snapshot of late‑90s crossover culture, when DJs and remixers became household names and labels pursued dance as a pop force.

Expect peak-hour club versions and definitive reworks from Club 69 (Peter Rauhofer) alongside iconic remixes such as Toni Braxton re-imagined by Franki Knuckles, Me'Shell NdegeOcello’s DT N.Y.D.C. mix, Patti LaBelle turned up by Hex Hector, Cher via Junior Vasquez, and Ruffneck’s Peppermint mix by Mousse T. Compiled by Party Favorz, the 2 hour 40 minute volume is tuned for listeners who remember those late‑90s dancefloors and for newcomers seeking a focused primer on how house crossed over during 1996–1997.

This mix is a 90s House Music Classics release — The Ultimate 90's House Classics, Volume 3 (1996–1997) — curated to revisit the remix-heavy sounds that filled tea dances and peak-hour rooms. Party Favorz compiles a three-hour journey through the era’s club edits and anthems, preserving the era’s theatrical vocals and hands‑in‑the‑air moments for listeners new and old.

Highlights focus on iconic remixer turns and club reinterpretations: Tony Moran’s diva mixes for Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, Danny Tenaglia’s DT styling on Vanessa Daou’s Sunday Afternoons, Hex Hector’s tough-house rework of Deborah Cox, plus floor-ready contributions from David Morales and Frankie Knuckles. The set moves from Big Room carnival mixes to deeper, soulful reworks — closing with recognisable staples like Ultra Nate — offering a snapshot of why late‑90s house remixes still resonate on today’s dance floors.

Whether you lived the scene or are discovering it anew, Volume 3 captures the creative remix culture that shaped modern dance music and keeps those club memories alive.

This episode is a 90s Classic House mix from The Ultimate 90's House Classics series, covering key club-floor sounds from 1996–1997 and surveying the era when house splintered into tribal, garage, and trance-influenced forms. Volume 2 focuses on how remix culture pushed pop records back onto the dancefloor, tracing the shift from commercial house toward tougher, more electronic club sounds. Highlights include David Morales’ remix of Jamiroquai’s “Cosmic Girl,” the Franktified Club Mix of Chaka Khan’s “Never Miss The Water,” and Hex Hector & Soul Solution’s take on Pulse’s “The Lover That You Are.” You’ll also hear StoneBridge and Junior Vasquez treatments alongside darker garage and drum’n’bass turns from Armand Van Helden. At just over three hours, the set samples late‑90s clubland — commercial reworks, trance-tinged edits, and harder club mixes — and sits midway through a four-volume retrospective. Turn it up and listen for the transition that set up the late‑90s peak.

This is a 90s house mix — The Ultimate 90's House Classics, Volume 1 (1996–1997) — curated as a nostalgia-driven journey through club anthems and extended remixes that dominated late‑90s dance floors. The set collects vocal house, garage-leaning bangers, and peak-time mixes meant to recreate the flow of a DJ set built for long nights and singalong moments.

Highlights include Lisa Stansfield’s Never, Never Gonna Give You Up in Mark!'s Transparent Vocal and the Pet Shop Boys' Before (Classic Paradise Mix), alongside Daft Punk’s Around The World in the Kenlou Mix for a deeper house rework. Todd Terry’s Something Going On with Martha Wash & Jocelyn Brown and David Morales & The Bad Yard Club’s In De Ghetto with Crystal Waters & Delta show how remixers turned pop and R&B into club staples.

At over three and a half hours this volume leans into iconic remix culture — think extended mixes from Kenlou, Morales, Mark!, and the Dancing Divaz — closing with Alison Limerick’s Where Love Lives '96 in the Dancing Divaz Club Mix.

This 2021 Peak Hour mix serves up Tech House, Bass House and Electro House built to fuel late-night parties and intense workouts. Party Favorz sequences nearly two hours and forty minutes of peak-ready club cuts under the mixtape title "Let's Go Dancing," keeping momentum high while dropping a few left-field selections that interrupt the flow in interesting ways.

The set leans on familiar peak-house names — Dom Dolla, John Summit, Shiba San and SIDEPIECE — for floor-ready moments, and adds bigger-room energy with Diplo & Sonny Fodera’s "Turn Back Time" in the Noizu remix. The most arresting inclusion is The Sponges’ "Jerry Brain," a track tagged as Bass House that skews toward glitch-funk with unexpected syncopation and funky-house textures. The host flags it as a rare forward-leaning sound worth revisiting and teases future digs into similarly fresh producers.

If you want a tight, DJ-friendly ride through contemporary tech and bass house territory, this Peak Hour installment balances club focus with a few surprising turns that might change a playlist rotation.

Disco House mix, 2021 — Where the Happy People Go is the latest Disco House and nu-disco set from Party Favorz, built to move a dancefloor or soundtrack a long drive. The nearly three-hour mix traces a path from peak-time disco and jackin’ house into cosmopolitan nu-disco, then eases into vocal-led house moments for singalong payoff.

Highlights include the opener Illyus & Barrientos’ “Disco Hearts,” Full Intention’s 2021 remix of The Fog, vocal turns from Siedah Garrett and Kathy Brown, plus stomping edits from St Jude and a retro-leaning Rasputin turn from Majestic x Boney M. The set balances peak grooves and soulful hooks, with selections from Kelli Sae, DJ Georgie Porgie, and Mark Whites’ funk-tinged closer “Supreme.”

Notably this episode is the original first-draft mix — an accidental overwrite left the draft intact, and the host decided it stood on its own. Total runtime is 2:49:50 and the sequence favors continuous club flow over single-track spotlighting.
