Party Favorz — Dance Music Podcast

This is an EDM and House edition of the Diva Hall of Fame — Rihanna 2.0, updated for 2017 to celebrate the Anti era and her genre-hopping catalogue. Party Favorz refreshes the original induction with nearly three hours of club-ready remixes that push familiar hits into peak-hour territory while nodding to her pop and dancehall roots. The mix collects classic singles and recent favorites into a continuous set designed for DJs and fans who want a dancefloor-ready portrait of Rihanna.

Highlights include Jason Nevins’ Electrotek take on SOS, big-room reworks from R3hab and Seamus Haji & Paul Emanuel, and extended club treatments by David Guetta and Calvin Harris. Cosmic Dawn and Gigamesh deliver deeper, modern spins on Needed Me and Love On The Brain, while edits of Umbrella, We Found Love, and Only Girl keep the set singable and functional. The selection balances mainstream hooks and club utility, making this a useful resource for mixers and listeners revisiting Rihanna’s many stylistic eras.

House-focused and part of the Diva Hall of Fame series, this 2017 tribute reframes Barbra Streisand’s catalog through club-ready edits and remixes aimed at longtime, mature listeners. Party Favorz assembled a compact set that leans into unexpected dancefloor moments rather than Streisand’s chart singles, presenting a respectful, slightly nostalgic take on her work.

Highlights include Claes Rosen’s unofficial VIP of “Woman In Love,” Offer Nissim’s take on “Avinu Malkenu,” and two versions of “Night of My Life” — the LEX Club Mix and the Love To Infinity Master Mix. Craig C’s Master Blaster revamp of “Enough Is Enough” (with Donna Summer) and Jerry’s Divalicious remix of “Tell Him” (with Celine Dion) nod to bootleg and rework culture while keeping the focus on tasteful, club-ready arrangements. This hour-plus set is a curated listen for fans who want Streisand’s voice in a dance context without trading away her signature gravitas.

This Peak Hour mix is the 2017 WMC Afterparty set Oh My Gravy! (OMG), built to pivot between tech‑house/techno moods and full‑tilt peak‑time mayhem. Over 72 minutes the set moves through techno, disco, progressive and electro textures to surprise a festival crowd at dawn while keeping the dancefloor engaged.

Highlights include the industrial‑disco push of Mark Knight & Green Velvet’s “Live Stream,” Gnarly Davidson’s Funkytown‑tinted club twist, and the unexpected acoustic drop in Will Sparks x Orkestrated’s “Crank It Loud.” StoneBridge and Lizzie Curious remake Olive’s “You’re Not Alone” into a modern club anthem, Hi‑LO (Oliver Heldens) steers things back toward progressive house with “The Answer,” and Throttle closes with a cheeky Jack House take on “Hit The Road Jack.” The set deliberately hops styles to keep listeners on their toes while delivering plenty of peak‑hour moments.

Club Fusion Spring Break 2017 delivers a beach-ready set of EDM, electro, future house and dubstep built as a sunny warm-up or pool-party mix. This 2017 edition leans into slower, tropical-tinged beats that were shaping mainstream dance at the time while still offering peak-energy moments to keep a party moving. Highlights include a John-Blake extended take on Rihanna, Alesso’s club mix of “Falling,” and a Dillistone remix of Dua Lipa, alongside sunlit edits like Ray Rhodes’ version of Kygo & Selena Gomez and breezy cuts from Sam Feldt & Hook N Sling. The Chainsmokers & Coldplay later receive an Ibiza-style Kay Stafford treatment, and the set mixes familiar vocal originals with club-forward remixes to maintain a relaxed, festival-to-pool flow. Think of this as the pregame to deeper evening editions: melodic, summery and designed for late-afternoon vibes rather than nonstop four-on-the-floor. It’s a curated snapshot of 2017’s tropical-leaning dance sounds with enough surprises to keep a spring break crowd engaged.

This 2017 DIVA Hall of Fame tribute is an 80s dance mix dedicated to Erasure, assembled as a personal and music-first retrospective. The set gathers extended mixes and club edits drawn largely from Pop! The First 20 Hits along with rarities and remix versions that emphasize Vince Clarke’s synthcraft and Andy Bell’s voice. Highlights include emotional nods to “Victim of Love,” “Star,” “Oh L’Amour,” “A Little Respect,” “Chorus,” and “Blue Savannah,” presented in mixes that reframe familiar melodies for the dancefloor. The host frames the collection with memoir-style memories of discovering Erasure in the mid‑80s and how those songs became touchstones in queer life and coming-of-age moments. Carefully sequenced and affectionate rather than celebratory, this nearly two-hour set is meant for longtime fans and newcomers who want a focused primer on Erasure’s early dance legacy. It’s a labor of love that honors the duo’s impact on pop and club culture.

This episode is an 80s Dance Music Classics megamix from 2017 titled Pure Energy, a BackSpin collection that leans into synth-pop and industrial-tinged club cuts. The set deliberately revisits the decade’s darker electronic edges while still serving up dancefloor-friendly mixes and extended versions for listeners who remember—or are discovering—these tracks. Highlights include Razormaid-style and extended mixes from Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Dead Or Alive, and New Order, with Information Society’s “What’s On Your Mind (Pure Energy)” and Patrick Cowley’s “Megatron Man” anchoring the sequence. The host reflects on how industrial’s punk-rooted anger worked as poetic repetition and suggests a possible shift toward deeper, more politically pointed selections in future mixes. Runtime is 1:23:23 and the mix balances singalong synth-pop moments with tougher club textures for a slightly darker take on 80s alternative dance.
