Party Favorz — Dance Music Podcast

Disco megamix from the Original Trash Disco Series (2016), edited for rump-shaking floorwear and party playlists. This continuous, 71-minute set gathers updated 70s and 80s disco classics with a modern edit sensibility, focusing on tight transitions and boosted club-ready beats. The backbone of the mix is DJ FreddyG a.k.a. Digital Visions, whose re-edits drive selections like B.B. & Q. Band, Rose Royce, Lipps Inc and Andrea True Connection. A Joey Negro edit of Chic’s “Everybody Dance” opens things up while nods to Philly soul and Hustle-era grooves arrive via MFSB and Van McCoy reworks. The set leans on bootlegs and recent edits pulled from SoundCloud and Juno Downloads, keeping familiar hooks but trimming and updating rhythms for contemporary dancefloors. It’s a useful listen for DJs and disco fans who want vocal classics and instrumental moments with fresh, danceable bounce.

Funky House Pool Party 2K16 is the 2016 Beach House Edition — a sunny, disco-leaning mix built for poolside mingling and lazy days at the beach. The set renames the annual Beach House release but keeps the bright, feel‑good disco-house energy listeners expect, running about an hour and a half of summer-ready grooves.

The mix opens with a sunlit Rhythm Scholar bootleg of Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants to Rule the World and moves through warm reworks from Leroy Burgess (OPOLOPO remix) and CeCe Peniston’s Finally (Mark Jay 2016 Remix). Inner City’s Good Life and a soothing Nora En Pure moment balance classic vocal house with melodic beach-house textures, while Crystal Waters’ Gypsy Woman appears in a club edit that keeps the set rooted in familiar dancefloor DNA. The flow favors tasteful retro edits and modern production touches, ending on nostalgic disco notes that leave room for more Trash Disco mixes to follow.

This episode is a 2016 Deep House and Tech House set from the Deep Sessions series, a deliberate return to the pockety, emotive club sounds that defined the original Deep Edition. Back Into the Deep aims to recapture that earlier spirit while testing whether listeners want this series revived; the mix runs just over 90 minutes and leans into warm grooves and peak-hour depth.

Highlights include EDX’s Ibiza Sunrise remix of “Roadkill,” Dennis Cruz’s driving “New Life,” and Adriatique’s remix of Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin’s “Atlas.” You’ll also find tasteful turns from Jonas Rathsman (Serge Devant remix), Ferreck Dawn & Rene Amesz, and a disco-tinged finish from Aeroplane & Purple Disco Machine on “Sambal.” The selection balances deep originals, tech-leaning cuts and thoughtful remixes to illustrate the cyclical return to classic deep and tech house sounds.

The host has reinstated the Deep Edition back catalog for premium subscribers and asks listeners for feedback to decide whether the Deep Sessions continue.

Legacy Dance Tribute, 2016 — Volume 2 in our Victor Calderone tribute lineup digs into the producer’s circuit, progressive and tribal house remixes. This set collects Calderone originals, official reworks and a couple of intriguing bootlegs to map the range that made him a staple on big-room and underground floors. Expect nearly 100 minutes of dramatic builds, club-ready vocal edits and tribal percussion that keeps the energy moving.

Highlights include Calderone’s sunlit take on K.D. Lang’s “Summerfling,” a vocal reimagining of Shapeshifters’ “Lola’s Theme,” and a sultry, empowered flip of Beyoncé’s “Naughty Girl.” Madonna appears twice — an unreleased “Bedtime Story” tweak and the defining “Frozen” extended club remix — while Bette Midler’s “I’m Beautiful” and an unreleased-sounding Britney Spears “Everytime” bootleg add moments of poignancy and what-if curiosity. This Legacy dance tribute (2016) focuses on progressive and tribal house interpretations from Victor Calderone, assembled as part of a multi-volume salute. The mixes were recorded in single takes, later tightened and pre/post-mastered to deliver nearly ninety minutes of club-ready flow that leans on Calderone’s instinct-driven approach.

Highlights include three Madonna remixes alongside Calderone’s club reworks of Destiny’s Child and Superchumbo, plus unexpected dancefloor turns like Sarah Brightman’s Dust in the Wind and Olivia Newton-John’s Hopelessly Devoted To You. The Brightman track had a minor glitch that’s been fixed for this release, and the notes also clarify common remix misattributions from Calderone’s era.

If you know Calderone for long-form, roof-raising club mixes and his later, darker originals, this volume captures that arc with tight sequencing and a few deep surprises. Enjoy the ride through his influential progressive house catalog.
