In this episode of Beyond The Pitch, Juan sat down with Pedro Mendonça as he gave a clear picture of new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and what to expect from him and his team in the upcoming season. Mendonça is a coach that worked at the youth levels at clubs like Porto and worked as a scout for some of the biggest teams in Europe. He is also the author of Preparing for Competition: The Method of Maurizio Sarri.

Mendonça talks about how he gained interest in Sarri and which concepts were amongst some of the most interesting ones in his method.

There was also lots of discussion as to what were some of the most interesting features of Chelsea that would make the team excel under his tutelage. This plus the impact it could have on players like Hazard, Kante and even Jorginho, were all discussed in this very informative episode.
