Two regular guys discuss four little women – what’s better on a crisp fall day? It’s a Steven’s Choice, and the guys’ first foray into 19th century literature. Gentlemen calling! Leather binding! Book burning! Star-crossed loving! Writing montaging! Simultaneous timeline running! This movie is real good, and Anthony even experiences a little bit of patriotism because of it.
Enjoy, and please do remember: don’t ever write your neighbor a letter professing your love for him unless you are SURE he’s not married to your sister.

Rain! Autumn! Rudy vibes! Problem solving! And a space shuttle launches at the end! Any doubt why this is an Anthony’s Choice this episode? The guys discuss the star power, the emotion power, and the coal power that makes October Sky worth sending up to Khan.

Two Gomers talk Three Maniacs – Paul Reubens, Tim Burton, and Danny Elfman – who made a movie that has had a massive cultural impact on the landscape of film over the past 40 years…and it’s about a guy who lost his bike. Also: which sneakers did we wear, or wish we wore, in the 90s? Who’s better, Ernest or Clifford? Why weren’t there more monster truck shows on Saturday mornings? And if you love that fruit salad so much, why don’t you marry it?
RIP Paul Reubens. You made something perfect here and you’re awesome.
The guys dig into this “Grown-Up 80s” classic and talk about: people who are good at their jobs, taking emotional breaks, the best Pixar voice actors, falling in love with people who aren’t in love with you, shocking celebrity brothers, and LOTS of Holly Hunter. Plus, a surprise reveal from Anthony that leaves Steven in stitches.
You might feel like you just need to be alone for awhile after listening to this ep. We understand. We’ll join you.

Pop quiz, hot shot: Was it a baby in that stroller that Sandra Bullock hit with a bus, or was it just cans? The only way to find out is to listen to this episode of Perfect Movie, where we talk Keanu Reeves’ guns, Keanu Reeves’ hair, Keanu Reeves’ white t-shirt, and Keanu Reeves’ uneaten muffin. That’s right, it’s SPEED!
Enjoy, let us know what you think on the upcoming poll on Instagram, and careful what bus you get on next time, Cameron from Ferris Bueller.

What is there to say about this movie that hasn’t been said on hundreds of other podcasts? We don’t know, but we manage to fill up almost two hours gushing and marveling and loving this film. We talk action cold opens, Tom Selleck, the difference between sets and set-pieces, flies crawling into Nazis’ mouths, God slamming things shut, and the perfect postlude. Indy, we love ya.

Party on, Anthony! Party on, Steven! We (finally!) watch this gem of a 90s comedy, and remember the joy of the 90s with gusto. Can I movie this fun be perfect as well? We hope so…Khan needs this one.

Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! We think you are very cool. Love, the Two Gomers.
It’s another one of the episodes where we GUSH. Anthony talks about the importance of the Star Trek brand in his life and family, Steven talks about how he likes it when characters in a movie actually act like human beings, and both guys take turns marveling at this friggin masterpiece of a movie. Happy listening, we sure had fun recording!

Tom Hanks, the only member of the Perfect Movie six-timers club, breaks out in a big (ahem) way in this 80s comedy that the guys have only reference like a billion times in the past. It’s time to put Big on trial! And to consider what makes Josh Baskin truly special: he is himself. We are jealous of that. If anyone ever finds a Zoltar machine in real life, let us know.

This one’s mostly Steven making noises about how much he loves a 60-foot robot before he can’t talk for a month. Also, this one’s for professionals only.
