It’s a thing as rare as spice melange when the Gomers call their shot and put a brand new movie on the Perfect Movie main feed. But their combined love for the first one, the stellar cast, the land- and sound-scapes, and the fact that Denis Villeneuve has yet to let them down made Dune Part Two a safe bet. Did it pay off? This is a pivot, but not that far: it’s our first Sandler, and we’ve decided to cover his second movie, a personal favorite of both Gomers. We talk 90-minute 90s comedies, the proper balance between jokes and plot, Anthony’s golden jacket epiphany, and probably too much Billy Madison since that’s what we pivoted away from. Also, Steven laughs for five minutes straight trying to explain Chubs Peterson’s long arm.
