Colleges are bringing back oral exams as students turn in flawless homework clearly boosted by AI — but then freeze when asked to explain it. Professors say oral defenses are the fastest way to expose who actually understands the material and who let a chatbot do the thinking.

  • Tuesdays with Terry: Low-Earning College Degrees, Gen Z, AI & Chemtrails

Senate Bill 199 enshrines the federal "Do No Harm” earnings test contained in President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” That standard, scheduled to take effect this summer, would shut off federal financial aid for students in college programs that cannot show that after four years following their graduation, a program’s graduates earn more, on average, than a working adult with only a high school degree.

60% of employers have fired recent Gen Z grads within months of hiring them, citing lack of initiative, poor professionalism, and weak communication skills. Bosses call for more workplace readiness like teaching networking, proper attire, and responsibility to better prepare new graduates.

The argument is being made that the FCC must upgrade America’s aging broadband infrastructure now, so the internet can handle the explosive data demands of AI. Commissioners are poised to streamline federal rules this Thursday an opportunity to boost network capacity and prevent broadband from becoming a bottleneck for AI innovation.

The National Review says real programs like cloud seeding and geoengineering research have blurred the line between science and so‑called “chemtrail” conspiracies. The lack of transparency, it argues, is fueling public mistrust even when the science is legitimate.

  • Tuesdays with Terry: The 82nd Airborne, Attacks on Iran & The Strait of Hormuz

The Pentagon is planning to deploy a brigade combat team from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East to support operation against Iran. A written order to deploy the unit, made up of roughly 3,000 soldiers, is expected in the coming hours, the officials confirmed.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sees a “historic opportunity” to remake the region, according to people briefed by U.S. officials on the conversations.

President Trump announced The US will hold off on striking Iranian energy infrastructure and that any negotiated settlement would include Tehran handing over its supply of enriched uranium, a critical element of the country’s nuclear program.

The geography of the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping lanes are just 2 miles wide, gives Iran unique power over the global economy. But its history shows the current battle for the strait is just the latest iteration of a centuries-old fight to control the critical trade entrepôt.

  • US Regulator Bans Imports & Bill Cosby Accuser Awarded $59 Million

Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra predicts Level 4 autonomous vehicles and next-gen robots will require more than 300 GB of DRAM, a major leap from the current 16 GB in today’s cars, signaling a boom in automotive memory demand that could strain chip supply.

A California jury awarded Donna Motsinger $19.25 million after finding Bill Cosby liable for drugging and sexually assaulting her in a 1972 incident in Northern California. The verdict included $17.5 million in past damages and $1.75 million for future harm, with the option for additional punitive damages still to be determined.

  • Raging Orange County Drivers, Eric Swalwell & $8 Million Fraud Case

Two competitive cyclists riding along Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach say they were nearly run down on March 21 by a blue BMW and a red-and-black Corvette that swerved inches from their wheels, taunted them with horns and homophobic slurs, and even threw a water bottle.

Rep. Eric Swalwell criticized USC’s debate criteria for excluding certain gubernatorial candidates but himself skipped a debate at Fresno State that included them. Fresno debate sponsor Western Growers called on Swalwell to show up, underscoring the growing frustration with fairness and equity in primary‑season debates.

A 52-year-old man from North Carolina pleaded guilty to using 1,040 bots across 52 cloud accounts to stream AI-generated songs billions of times on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube, reaping an $8+ million payout from fraudulent royalty claims. He now faces up to five years in prison and must forfeit the stolen earnings.
