Philadelphia Phillies lose their 5th straight, falling to the Cubs, 4-0 at Wrigley Friday afternoon. Philly’s scoreless effort marks their 3rd shutout loss of the season.

Against the Cubs Friday, the Phillies managed just 5 hits and went 0for-7 with runners in scoring position. Their best chance to score came in the 7th, when they put runners in 1st and 2nd with nobody out and failed to get a run across.  

 

Taijuan Walker started for the Phillies and lasted just three innings allowing two runs on six hits and two walks. He needed 86 pitches to get through his start.  

 

When the bullpen took over, they surrendered another two runs on five hits and two walks.
