The Philadelphia Phillies make mistake after mistake after mistake and fall to the Cleveland Guardians, 6-0.  

 

Aaron Nola started for the Phillies and despite his recent success with J.T. Realmuto as his catcher, the Phils decided NOW was the time to have Rafael Marchan catch the righty. Nola went on to allow four runs over five innings of work and take his sixth loss of the season.  

 

As the score would indicate the Phillies bats offered no run support for Nola. They went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base throughout the evening.  

 

The Phillies had a good chance to score in the 4th when Nick Castellanos hit a single to right, but he got greedy. Casty broke for second trying to stretch the single into a double and was thrown out easily. The Phillies later loaded the bases in the inning, but failed to bring anyone home.
