Physical creator & showrunner Annie Weisman joins Kyle Meredith to talk about wrapping up the Apple TV+ series that stars Rose Byrne as Sheila Rubin, the quietly tormented housewife in '80s San Diego who takes control of her life after finding an exercise group. Weisman talks about the vision she carried about how the show would find its conclusion and what it was like to create and spend time with a flawed character in search of redemption, as well as setting the story in the 80s that was still completely unkind toward women. The veteran writer also dishes on Dierdre Friel’s character Greta and her importance to the story, how the series looks at the loneliness of ambition, and, of course, the big 80s soundtrack that carries throughout the episodes.
