Here we go again with a new round of reviews! In this episode we learn:

"From Dallas to Texas" is one of the best books of this series...we guess? We don't remember reading that one.

Nora has disrespected her fans and her characters with this book.

This book is "Yikes. Cringe. Even more Yikes."

"Abandoned in Death" is the worst book since "Conspiracy in Death." Dead Fucking Serious.

AJ would like Paul Michael Glaser to call the number.

Eve is not on the edge of death, and not even in a fight. She's getting old.

Nora is disinterested and lazy and has forgotten us!

Really, people are just upset Eve and Roarke haven't had babies yet.

Those of us who have stuck with this series for so long are really just hanging on for the characters. Admit it.

Eve may have the "Fasty-Brain-Go-Gos."

We really want to know why assholes who write bad reviews get ARC's, and WE don't!!!

This series is repetitive, and really, so are we. Especially when we put good reviews of Susan Eriksen in every WRTR episode!

We love the 4 and 5 star reviews too, even though AJ would like some of them to dial it down just a tiny bit.

Have Fun with this Episode!

There’s no denying that Nora writes some of the best villains, and the “In Death” series has some of the very baddest of the bad. Or, as listener Melissa said: Moral Dumpster Fires! We talk about some of our favorites here, and also tackle questions like whether or not Roarke [...]

We talk about some of our favorites here, and also tackle questions like whether or not Roarke qualifies as a villian.

Enjoy!

This is a LONG one, everyone! It's also been a LONG week, so, this review of "Abandoned in Death" is kind of all over the place. This is a bit of a departure for Nora, and at times seems more like a traditional Nora Roberts than a J.D. Robb. But, we [...]

This is a LONG one, everyone!

It's also been a LONG week, so, this review of "Abandoned in Death" is kind of all over the place.

This is a bit of a departure for Nora, and at times seems more like a traditional Nora Roberts than a J.D. Robb. But, we still thought it was a great installment. Things that we especially loved:

JAMIE AND QUILLA!! This is Jen's "Heart Flutter™" Moment, and we are here for it!

Bella the Job Boss at Mavis/Leonardo/Peabody/McNab's house.

Peabody and McNab pinkie swearing.

Eve asking Roarke about how she could buy a piece of property so that she can fuck with "Teeg the Dick."

Eve and Roarke going for pizza, Eve bringing back a slice for Galahad, and Roarke bringing back a slice for Summerset.

The clerks at the nail salon being so happy about being a part of the investigation because they "hearted" the video.

The squad having a conference at one of Roarke's Irish Pubs in the extra large snug.

There are several more really great moments in this book, also some things that irritate us, and some YANNI's.

Enjoy!

As we said on the last “We Review the Reviews” episode for “Visions in Death,” those reviews were really boring. HOWEVER, the reviews for “Survivor in Death” were anything but boring. This book stirred some feelings up in people! For example: This book is “ersatz” porn. A trashy romance novel [...]

Our last episode was a LOT. So, with this episode, we decided to make it easy on ourselves and talk about some of our recent Facebook threads. So, here’s a rundown of what we talk about: Booze at Disneyland The Beginning of Loyalty is Boring Remember When: Soooo Polarizing Beans [...]

Nora's Descriptions of Overweight People

If Eve Went into Our Homes, How Would She Profile Us? But also: Eve and Roarke Funko Pops??

The Peabody Voice: Soooo Polarizing

This is our longest episode ever, everyone! This book is ultimately about not just being a survivor, but how people survive, especially after the loss of a loved one. We see this play out not only with Nixie, but with Eve surviving the death of her father, Roarke surviving the [...]
