Podcast sponsorships are an incredible way for any podcaster to monetize their show. Some of you might feel like this is out of reach because you don't have a big enough listenership, while others of you may just have no idea where to start when it comes to sponsorships.
Today's guest, Traci DeForge, is here to share how you can reimagine podcast sponsorships and gain sponsors in a way that's ethical and on-brand for your business. We talk about ways to integrate sponsors into your show, create sponsorship packages even if you don't have thousands of downloads per episode, and secure sponsorships before you even launch your show.

How many times have you sat down to plan out a podcast episode and record it and then felt stressed out when you realized you still had to come up with a title? Or maybe you're the complete opposite, and you just kind of go with the first thing that comes to mind.
Either way, you might be asking yourself, "Do podcast episode titles even matter?" My quick answer is YES. In my opinion, episode titles are so important. This episode is the first in a new series that I'm going to be doing from time to time, and I'm calling it the "You Oughta Know" series. (And if that instantly makes you think of the Alanis Morissette song, then we should be friends.)
Inside this series, I'm going to share some updates that have been going on recently in the podcast industry and just some things that I think you oughta know about. So today, I'm running through some important updates about YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Apple Podcasts that I think are relevant to all podcasters.

If you track your podcast stats monthly (which I strongly recommend!), you may have noticed a recent dip in your summer downloads. And you wouldn't be alone! You may have even seen a drop in downloads earlier in the year.
In this episode, I'm sharing some of the download trends I've been seeing, my opinion on the reasoning behind them, an industry update that has definitely impacted download reporting, and what to do when you notice a dip in your downloads.

In the last episode, 162, I shared what my maternity leave was like, and one of the things that I talked about in that episode was not being on social media and not sending my usual weekly emails for four months.
I know a lot of you have thought about taking a break from social or email platforms (or leaving them altogether) and wonder what kind of effect that could have on your podcast downloads. Obviously, your experience is going to be different than mine, but in this episode, I'm sharing what kind of effect my break had on my podcast downloads with no socials or emails.

Maternity leave is over! This is my very first recording since I had my second daughter, Lily. If you're new here, I have been on maternity leave for the past few months and am slowly (emphasis on slow!) easing my way back into things.
For this episode, I wanted to check in to let you know that I'm officially back from maternity leave and share a little about what's been happening, specifically what this season of life has been like as a mom and business owner. I'm also sharing 3 things that have helped me during this season of life and what's to come with this podcast (don't worry, it's not going anywhere!).
