In the second episode of our series on Mindset March, we bring you our panel show ’Not the Plan, Still the Passion’, recorded live at the National Equine Show. Join us as we chat with Saffron Cresswell, a former 4* Event rider and European pony champion gold medallist. In 2024, Saffron suffered a fall at Bramham that resulted in her becoming paralysed from the chest down. Dylan Ward joined us, alongside Saffron. At just 10-years-old, Dylan has huge dreams despite enduring a two year fight to overcome cancer in his pelvis. The treatment left Dylan with life long disabilities. Up until his diagnosis, Dylan had ridden in all disciplines, and now seeks to one day represent Team GB in the Paralympics. Alongside Dylan, we welcomed his mum, Jess Flack, who now campaigns to raise awareness of childhood cancer and supports Dylan in his Paralympic dream. Our conversation tells their stories and how they are triumphing over adversity.
Tania talks ground work, feeding aggression and coming back to competing after a break, and Katie finds this week’s bubbles a little too bubbly!
