Welcome to Episode 81 of Praestabilis: Excellence in Marketing
Welcome Aboard! In Episode 81 I’m discussing the importance of income producing activities to monetize our businesses every single day. These activities include, but are not limited to:
* Sending emails to our growing (hopefully!) list of prospects, customers, and clients – use something called “pattern interrupt” to get people’s attention with your email messages
* Networking with others, both virtually and in person who could potentially be interested in and a good fit to be our prospects, affiliates, JV (joint venture) partners, collaborators, and more – we absolutely must interact with people every single day if we are to build and grow a lucrative business. Rotary (an international service organization) has been an excellent way to network, and many of the people I mentor have joined their local Rotary Club as well.
* Affiliates – what we recommend, as well as those who recommend us and our products, courses, services, and other offerings.
* Asking for the sale! We must ask people to buy from us. I recommend doing this within your email messages (broadcasts and autoresponders), in person, within your blog posts (I have a CTA (Call to Action) at the bottom of all of my posts, In the podcast recording, I share the story of buying a new car recently, and how one dealership lost my business because they did not ask for the sale when I was ready to make the purchase.
* Launching or re-launching a product or course – we are teachers in our online businesses, and we must show people what it’s like to learn from and with us.
* Marketing your current products – get them in front of your prospects, customers, and clients on a regular basis. This includes both free and paid offerings, including your free giveaway (lead magnet).
Everything else we do as an online entrepreneur is outside the realm of being income producing on a daily basis.
Are you focusing on income producing activities every single day in your business? Is marketing at the forefront of your thinking and actions? Everything we do is selling us to our target audience; share your story, your knowledge, your experiences, and you expertise.

* Writing – blog posts, short reports, focus guides, sales letters, books, and more
* Creating – products, courses, challenges, and events
* Marketing – I’m the “Marketing Madwoman” and relish this title! Marketing makes the business world go ’round, and I wish I would have embraced this concept sooner in my life.
* Mentoring/Consulting – I love working with individuals, organizations (for profit and non-profit), companies, and corporations to help them with their marketing, online and offline.
I began my outsourcing journey by setting up a “barter” arrangement with someone I met at a live event in 2006. She set up websites, did technical work, and created graphics for me, in return for me helping her learn more about marketing herself and her business. A year and a half later I started paying her for her services. Soon I was building a team of people who continue to help me grow my business.
Take a close look at what you love doing, what you strongly dislike, and know that outsourcing at least some tasks and activities to others is the way to increase your income and your free time.
