August 20 Labour government falsely accuses DPRK of assisting in the kidnap of Ukrainian children

DPRK and Russian children participate in a cultural event at Songdown. The real purpose of promoting such hostile narratives as the Songdown story is not to ‘protect children’ but to frame north Korea and Russia as ‘evil entities’, justifying further aggression against them in the minds of the British people.
Since it is highly unlikely that a socialist children’s centre has bank accounts or assets in the west, this announcement can only be viewed as a propaganda attack.

August 19 The Revolution is not a Tea Party - Ranjeet Brar

Ranjeet Bar, general secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain (ML), speaks at our international celebration on Saturday 25th July 2026.
In his eloquent and insightful message, he touches upon the true history of the great historical events of 26th and 27th July 1953: the Attack on Moncada and Victory in the Korean Fatherland War. He recounts their true history and how that is distorted today. And he draws out the relevance to the global situation, of capitalist crisis, escalating war, resurgent Fascism, genocidal Zionism and the wars of the Anglo American imperialists to further conquer and suppress the world by force.
As well as the heroic resistance of the Socialist nations of the DPR Korea, and tiny but defiant Socialist Cuba, Ranjeet pays tribute to the Palestinian people, the Axis of Resistance in the middle East, and in particular the Iranian and Russian people, who are engaged in an existential fight for survival against the aggressive wars launched by our Labour government on behalf of the British capitalist ruling class and their US imperialist partners in crime.
The British workers must stand in with all peoples in struggle.
As our capitalist ruling class is driven toward global war to keep its moribund and crisis ridden system alive, the only answer to the troubles of the working people is to break all ties with the imperialist Labour Party and finish it entirely.
Only then will a really mass party of the working class, taking an independent political line in the interests of the working masses in Britain and of the wider world be possible.
We must learn to turn - as Fidel so ably did, in his trial after Moncada - the repressive apparatus of the state into a trial of the repressive, unjust and monstrously inhuman capitalist system itself.
We must strip our ruling class of all legitimacy in the eyes of the British workers and demonstrate to them that their true interests do not lie among the path of continuing colonial war, genocide, ultra-nationalism, racism, deepening poverty and destruction. But that another future: a bright, cooperative, equal, hopeful and just socialist future, is possible and within our grasp.
Our demands most moderate are: we only want the earth!

August 18 From Cuba to Gaza the Resistance stands Firm!

A brilliant and empassioned speech given by our dear comrade, Her Excellency Ismara Vargas-Walter, Cuban ambassador to the UK and Ireland, at our spirited celebration of the international anti imperialist struggle in Southall today.
Our Chair Joti Brar gives an introduction to comrade Her Ismara, and makes some piercing observations in response.
Ismara celebrates the 100th anniveraary of the birth of Fidel Castro, leader and inspirer of the Cuban Revolution, as well as the storming of the Moncada Barracks on 26th July 1953, that triggered the Revolution. Although that heroic assault on the fortress of US comprador Batista failed, it led to the trial of Fidel and his comrades, which Fidel turned into a tribunal of the reactionary and dictatorial regime.
“History will absolve me!” Declared Fidel, at the conclusion of his epic speech of defence! And on January 1st 1959, the revolutionary forces led by Fidel, Raul and Che Guevara victoriously entered Havana, ushering in the rule of the Working People and the dawn ofa socialist era in Latin America.
The US IMPERIALISTS HAVE NEVER FORGIVEN the people of Cuba for breaking free of their grip, and today desire to have their brothels, casinos, landed estates and latifundia, wage slaves, peasants, vassels, monopolies and sweat-shops restored to their corrupt and mafiosi-led grip.
Despite the vindictive sanctions - intensified to fever pitch by this vindictive and unstable Trump regime - and the special economic measures that the Cubans have had to take to withstand those sanctions, Cuba stands firm, on the front line of the anti Imperialist struggle.
We must all demand the lifting of the criminal US blockade and do all in our power to aid Cuba: the hope of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples, and a beacon pf humanity’s bright, humane, just and rational socialist future.
Also at the meeting, our comrade from the London Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Comrade Yong Ri and for the CPGB-ML our general secretary Ranjeet Brar.

Comrade Yong Ri here gives a vivid sketch of the CURRENT international situation in the world and the strong socialist policy of the leadership of the Workers Party of Korea and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea that has enabled the nation to maintain its sovereignty and independence in the face of the unending hostility of US imperialism, upon whom it inflicted a heroic and historic defeat in the brutal 1950-1953 war of aggression waged by US imperialism on the Korean people under the leadership of Eisenhower and with the active participation of the Dulles Brothers. All, of course, at the behest of Wall Street.
HE NOTES:
It is the unwavering foreign policy stance of the DPR Korea to firmly uphold the principles of struggle against the enemy (Anglo-American imperialism and its satellites), to strengthen the united front with all independent and anti Imperialist forces and wage a resolute struggle against imperialist aggression and war schemes
Nowadays unimaginable shocking events, beyond common sense, are taking place every day. Wars, bloodshed, political and economic destabilisation are becoming a daily occurrence. It is due to the gangster like geopolitical greed, and misuse of force by the hegemonic forces. As a result the inter-camp confrontation between the forces of domination and independence is getting more fierce.
The high-handed practices of the US imperialists have had a destabilising impact upon its satellite forces and have further worsened the bloody situation in Europe and the Middle East.
Today the world is witnessing a rampant resurgence of ultra-nationalism - the “America First” policy, [Israel] Zionism and Neo-Nazism in Ukraine - reminiscent of a century ago when the world was involved in global wars.
Kim Jong un emphasised: “We have neither the right nor the grounds to ignore the current complex situation and stark geopolitical reality.”

This week Joti Brar spoke with Garland Nixon about why it is that we can't vote our way out of the mess we're in.
As unprecedented numbers of workers in the west become increasingly cynical towards the system, its politicians and its media mouthpieces, the ruling class is working overtime to misdirect our distrust and to encourage us to extend our cynicism towards ourselves.
If we don't believe in them, we should also not believe in ourselves as a force capable of achieving anything.
Garland and Joti discuss various strategies in use by the ruling financial oligarchy to keep our attention diverted and our energies midirected, including:
1. Presenting us with a 'new' / 'nicer' leader for the system every few years (when anger at the status quo is reaching boiling point, blame somebody in 'high office' and replace them, have him/her make a bunch of promises, rinse and repeat.
2. Making sure the leaders not only of mainstream parties but also of working-class organisations of resistance (trade unions, antiwar organisations etc) are always working to maintain the status quo.
3. Creating fake 'protest' organisations through which to channel activity and make sure it remains harmless to their rule (a plethora of astroturfed opposition movements makes clear the ruling class's desire to channel and manage our dissent).
4. Redoubling their efforts to pipe anticommunist prejudice into the minds of the workers – through mainstream politicians, through our own movement's tame leadership, through history books and through conspiracy/alternative media, both 'right' and 'left'.
Essentially, we are being cajoled and pressured into remaining inactive, cynical and disunited. The one thing the ruling class fears is an active and organised working class. That is why it works so hard to ensure that we don't come together to create an effective and meaningful movement for revolutionary change. Burnham’s role will be to continue putting Britain onto a war footing via austerity, militarisation and repression, while presenting himself as a ‘good bloke’ doing a ‘tough job’.
With the media having gone all-out to present Burnham as a ‘left-leaning’ closet socialist, the path is open for the trade unions to hold him up to workers as the best they are likely to get. We can expect them to use this angle to justify suppressing working-class resistance to austerity, repression and war over the period of his tenure in Downing Street.

The combination of a party that serves the masses and a centrally planned economy have proven once again the power of socialism to secure the path to true prosperity for all.
North Korea’s determination to build a strong defence capability and establish itself as a nuclear power has underpinned its ability to resist the imperialist war drive and to continue to advance its planned economy in every field, from housing and healthcare to industry and agriculture.
