Attempts to silence students through arrests, intimidation and fabricated accusations will only strengthen the resolve of those fighting against imperialism, exploitation and neocolonial domination.

The arrest and prosecution of our comrades represent, in our view, an attempt by the neocolonial state to intimidate and silence voices advocating for genuine sovereignty, self-determination and liberation. Rather than addressing the legitimate concerns raised by anti-imperialist activists, state authorities have chosen the path of criminalisation and repression.

This resolution was passed unanimously by the tenth party congress of the CPGB-ML.

All peace-loving people must expose imperialist lies, resist the push towards global war and work towards a future free from imperialist domination and conflict.

Turning Taiwan into a new Ukraine is a key part of US imperialism’s war strategy against China, which is seeing increased activity across military, economic and informational fronts. Any real antiwar movement would be working to rebut the sinophobic propaganda that deluges western media and making it clear that China poses no threat whatsoever to the British working class.

Peace and imperialism are incompatible – as multiple theatres of the spreading global conflagration are making ever clearer.

As the western drive to war gathers pace, workers must recognise that their enemy is not workers in other countries, but the imperialist ruling class. To maintain their global dominance, the imperialists are prepared to sacrifice countless lives, making their rule the greatest threat facing humanity today.

The regime is waging a systematic campaign to silence critics and terrorise those who dare to speak against its complicity with imperialism and zionism.

Comrade Khalil has been arrested as a direct result of his political activism and online activity, and has not been heard from since his detention. These tactics of enforced disappearance and isolation are standard practice for a regime that rules through fear. This is part of the massive political repression campaign that has been launched in Bahrain as a result of the imperialist/zionist war on Iran.

Though Trump has tightened it and is attempting to starve and strangle the Cuban people - just as they are committing genocide with Britain and Israel in Palestine and across the middle east - their socialist system and resolve to remain independent, dignified and free makes them indomitable!

Like just about everything else of note that happened in 1945, the United Nations project came dressed in the guise of peace, progress and the amity of nations. What the welfare state offered to the masses was something sounding an awful lot like socialism. Similarly, if you squinted, what the UN offered to the world’s nations looked like the long-dreamed-of democratic world government, one that would enforce international law, peace and social justice for the world’s grateful peoples.

As was the case with the welfare state, it was the fear of revolution that persuaded the imperialists to go along with the notion of a pretend world government pledged to upholding peace and justice for all the nations of the world.

Napoli health workers standing against genocide

Roberto De Gregorio, an Italian nurse in southern Italy’s largest hospital, talks to the international workers’ event hosted by the World Anti-imperialist Platform in July 2026.

In his speech he outlines the work he and his fellow workers at Cardarelli hospital (in Napoli/Naples) have done to show solidarity with the healthworkers under attack in Gaza.

And he talks about how this work has helped to form a permanent collective within the hospital whose aims have become broader. On the one hand, they focus on the problems faced by their hospital and those who work and are treated there. But they also try to look further and to place those problems in the broaded social and political context.

As Roberto puts it: "Our hospitals’ problems are the consequence of political problems, so we’re also discussing this and starting to try to find political solutions.

“We mustn’t leave every hospital to try to save itself, every department to save itself, and every worker to think about working only for himself. We must dismantle this concept, the product of a concept that is the fruit of capitalism.

“And this idea can be dismantled when we start to talk about the bigger problems; to talk about collectivity and when we start to show that no one is alone and that we are all united.”______________________________________________
