Quickly Kevin; will he score? The 90s Football Show

It's here! England's first game of the World Cup. And yes, count them! 6 goals. 6-2 opening victory. We discuss the game and all the important talking points like doesn't Luke Shaw look great. Is this a bad England kit and what does that mean for our chances? And why have Iran taken four goalkeepers to a World Cup? Back later this week with more QK World Cup 2022 content...

QKWHS World Cup 2022: EP2 - The Preview (part 2)

Ahead of England's opening game of the tournament we're looking at how we feel about the squad, Southgate, and our chances during the tournament...

It's here. And we've gone topical! Just like the Euros, for the duration of the 2022 World Cup we'll be releasing three episodes a week from the trenches of football fandom in the only way we know how. Laced with nostalgia, riddled with terrible takes, and filled with the hope and emotional investment we know ultimately will be the thing that will destroy us...

But before that, we're going topical and three episodes a week for the 2022 World Cup so join us this week for the first preview episode (and later this month a QK Fan Club exclusive interview with Sam Allardyce)

Our guest this week is the journalist and friend of the show, Thom Gibbs, who tracked down players from the iconic Sky Sports launch photo for a brilliant long read article for The Telegraph which we discuss in detail alongside the famous 'Alive and Kicking' TV advert. We also chat being a QPR fan in the 90's...

Our guest this week is comedian, writer and actress Maisie Adam. Maisie is a massive Leeds United fan, so naturally we forced her to consume two documentaries that focus on both halves of the Steel City, Sheffield.

One features Big Ron building up to Wednesday's triumphant 1991 League Cup Final appearance with the Owl's preparing for their biggest game in 50 years. Whilst the other documentary takes an in-depth look at the playing staff at Brammell Lane as the Blades take on League Division Two in the 1989/90 season.

This week we're joined by a 90's football legend... Cambridge under John Beck, Manchester United and a broken neck, Coventry, Villa, The Golden Boot, following Gazza into Hoddle's office for the France 98 Squad decision, The Dube!!... we could go on (and we do in the episode) what a career and what a man - it was our pleasure to speak to someone we've wanted for years at QK towers - Mr Dion Dublin.

Joining us this week is Loaded founder (and Leeds United fan) James Brown who regales us with some incredible stories during his time as creator and editor of the defining magazine of the decade. Featuring of course Gazza, meeting Cantona, away days and nights out with the Rep. of Ireland squad and much, much more...  what a glorious time to be alive...

Elsewhere in the postbag we discuss and de-bunk a ridiculous Michael Duberry myth and could another 90's legend have exposed themselves to some questionable beliefs in the 90's O Clock news?
