Jan-Rutger, or JR for short, has a PhD in microelectronics and communications technology. 

Back in 2007, JR was working in the research lab of a large multinational company in the Netherlands, designing microelectronic circuits for the latest generation of mobile phones. 

It was his dream job at the time, or so he thought. Then he noticed that the electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones, towers, and electronic devices was affecting his health and he had to quit his job. 

A few years later, he founded his company, JRS Eco Wireless, with a mission to develop electronics that emit measurably less radiation.

By 2011, he had managed to develop the Eco Wi-Fi router that emitted significantly less EMF than normal WiFi routers. 

He later went on to create the Eco 100 router, which is the world's first Wi-Fi router with a full Eco mode. 

This router switches to a completely radiation-free mode when no wireless devices are connected.
