Prof Mario Livio is an astrophysicist, a best-selling author, and a popular speaker.He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Prof Livio has published more than 500 scientific articles, on topics ranging from cosmology, supernova explosions, and black holes, to the evolution of binary systems, extrasolar planets, and the emergence of life in the universe. Dr Livio is also the author of seven popular science books. His bestselling book "The Golden Ratio" won him the "Peano Prize" in 2003 and the "International Pythagoras Prize" in 2004, as the best popular book on mathematics. His book Galileo and the Science Deniers was selected by the Washington Post and by Science News as one of the best books of 2020.

Mikhail Viktorovich Zygar (Russian: Михаил Викторович Зыгарь; born 31 January 1981) is a Russian born journalist, writer and filmmaker, and the founding editor-in-chief of Russian news TV-channel Dozhd (2010–2015), which halted operations on 3 March 2022. Under Zygar's leadership, Dozhd provided an alternative to Kremlin-controlled federal TV channels by focusing on news content and giving a platform to opposition voices. The channel's coverage of politically sensitive issues, like the Moscow street protests in 2011 and 2012 as well as the conflict in Ukraine, has been dramatically different from the official coverage by Russia's national television stations.[1] Zygar is also the author of the book All the Kremlin's Men (2017), the history of Putin's Russia, based on interviews with Russian politicians from Putin's inner circle.

In 1984, Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB secret agent gave an interview to G. Edward Griffin, titled 'Soviet Subversion of the Free World Press'. In the interview, Bezmenov explained the methods used by the KGB for the gradual subversion of the political system of the United States. He emphasized the main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all. Only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage and such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion or active measures… or psychological warfare. Michael Kimmage is a professor of history and department chair at the Catholic University of America. He is also a fellow at the German Marshall Fund. From 2014 to 2017, he served on the Secretary's Policy Planning Staff at the U.S. Department of State, where he held the Russia/Ukraine portfolio. He publishes widely on international affairs, U.S.-Russian relations and American diplomatic history. His latest book, The Abandonment of the West: The History of an Idea in American Foreign Policy, was published by Basic Books in April 2020. He is the chair of the Kennan Institute Advisory Council.
