Reem Kassis is a Palestinian writer whose work focuses on the intersection of food with culture, history and politics. She grew up in Jerusalem, obtained her undergraduate and MBA degrees from UPenn and Wharton and her MSc in social psychology from the London School of Economics. She is the author of the best-selling and award-winning cookbooks The Palestinian Table and The Arabesque Table.
