Clarity on Fire

Refuse to choose with Rachel Lowe

Listen Later

This one goes out to all of you who feel like making a choice, any choice, is hard.

Who are these mysterious people who just … decide things? Without any angst, or second-guessing, or spinning out, or FOMO, or shiny object syndrome??

Rachel Lowe can't relate! Which is why she's this month's brand-new interview with a normal person.

On this episode, Rachel E. And Rachel L. are getting into what it's like to be someone who's tried VERY hard to be decisive, but who just can't be tamed. We talked about…

  • The shame and brokenness that comes up when you're someone who can't make up your mind ("Why is it so hard for me, and so easy for other people??")
  • Being easily distractible, and grappling with FOMO.
  • How Rachel is learning to embrace her Side Hustler nature, and the mental shifts that helped her get there.
  • Why Side Hustlers may be better positioned for success in these weird times we're currently living in than anyone!

After you've listened, leave us a comment to let us know how Rachel's advice for indecisive people landed with you!

MORE ABOUT RACHEL LOWE

Rachel Lowe has dubbed herself the quintessential "Slashie." She's a side-hustler/hummingbird, and not the other way around. Though she embraces this nature now, that was not always the case. Since our culture often seems to push folks toward a singular focus, growing up as a person of many interests often brought guilt and shame. While decisiveness is still not a strength, she has found peace in the fact that she can't choose wrong.

In the past three years alone, she's uprooted her life and business by leaving her job in the DC area to move to Colorado, moved twice more, bought a house, changed jobs again, and become a mother to an insanely adventurous and joyful little boy. What's next for her? We'll have to wait and see!

Check out Rachel and Greg for photography, especially if you're in Colorado!
