  • Episode 317: Blue Harvesting
After two years of torturously rehashing The Last Jedi, and just 48 hours from the premiere of The Rise of Skywalker The Regular Joes, plus their west coast affiliate Brian Mix, share memories of 42 years of Star Wars history. SPOILER: Brian, who was actually able to watch Return of the Jedi aka Blue Harvest location shooting, wins! They also dig into the alien packed sixth episode of Disney+'s The Mandalorian and work in a smattering of Random Topics. Thanks for Listening!

  • Episode 316: From DC to D.C.
One week out from The Rise of Skywalker The Regular Joes take time to clean up a number of topics on their respective lists. First up it's CRISIS time in the CW, DC, Berlanti, Arrow-verse. Three episodes in see what the team thinks as they try to process the most ambitious TV crossover attempt ever. Next up, CBS All Access just keeps cranking out Short Treks as we wait for the January start of Picard, there are two more this week, and we are only now getting to talk about the Captain Pike focused Ask Not. Seriously people, stop flirting and just make us the Pike, Spock and Number One series everyone wants to see. Then, it's on to Trailer Talk as they take a first look at first looks at Marvel's Black Widow, Wonder Woman 1984, Ghostbusters Afterlife, and the newest James Bond offering No Time To Die. It's week five of The Mandalorian and Disney+'s much heralded bounty hunter/single dad swings by the familiar world of Tatooine for an episode that gets a bit more critical assessment than its predecessors. Lastly, we take a moment to recognize a few significant passings in the Star Trek universe including television pioneer D.C. Fontana. Thanks for Listening!

  • Episode 315: Auction Talking
On Tuesday December 17, several of the most coveted items acquired by uber prop and costume collector John Azarian will auctioned by Profiles in History. From Maxwell Smart's Shoe Phone to Wolverine's Claws, the Regular Joes preview the items from 1960's though 2000's film and TV series they would most like to bring home themselves. Download the catalog and make your own wish list ... or maybe score some Christmas gifts for your favorite podcast hosts ;) At the midway point in it's eight episode run director Bryce Dallas Howard doubles down on The Mandalorian's western theme delivering a straight up homage the The Magnificent Seven or is it The Seven Samurai? Find out why the Joes remain universally enamored with Disney+ and Jon Favreau's corner of the Star Wars Galaxy. All this plus What's in the Box and a round of Random Topics. Check out pictures of our What's in the Box items at RegularJoes.com. Thanks for Listening!

  • Episode 314: This Is The Way
This past weekend two of the Regular Joes visited Wintercon so one could get an autograph from the actor who played Boxy in Battlestar Galactica and the other could get a residual Tom Cruse contact high. They saw some other stuff too. They'll tell you about it. It's week three of Mandalorian so they talk more about that again. It time to just accept this is gonna be a thing for the next 5 weeks. Tod has a theory about the new Batman film. He also has a theory about the Mandalorian. He spends way too much time thinking about this crap. There's also What's in the Box and an atypically brief round of Random Topics. Thanks for Listening! Check out pictures of our Whats in the Box items at RegularJoes.com.

  • Episode 313: I'm on Lockdown
Several weeks into the fall 2019 TV season the Regular Joe's take stock of what new TV shows they've picked up and stayed with and which they have let slide. Among these are Batwoman, Evil, Stumptown, Watchmen and yes, Nancy Drew. Each of which, interestingly, has a female lead. They also Follow up on the show everyone seems to be talking about, Disney+'s flagship offering, the Mandelorian. Which, unless you bring up running time, seems to be universally well received. Along the way they fit in some Random Topics (which is really just their weekly opportunity to dump on Martin Scorsese and Kathleen Kennedy) and give a peek at current projects in What's on My Workbench. Pretty much it's an hour of trying to distract Barry so he won't talk about the new Rise of Skywalker trailer to his two cohosts who are on "lockdown." Check out pictures of our Workbench items at RegularJoes.com. Thanks for Listening!

  • Episode 312: I Have Spoken
This week the year's most eagerly awaited Star Wars offering premiered. Or at least the most eagerly awaited . . . until next month. The Mandalorian is both the highest profile original content on Disney's shiny new streaming service and the first live action Star Wars created for the small screen since the infamous 1978 Christmas special. SPOILER, it is MUCH better than the Christmas special. While the Regular Joes have been critical, to various degrees, of the Star Wars efforts since the Empire (the Disney Empire) took over that particular universe this could be the one thing that they all agree upon. Yes, there are SPOILERS including one tiny green one, so consider yourself warned. In other Star Wars News, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the Cantina, the hand of George Lucas reaches from the past to once again screw with the Han shooting Greedo scene. Why are we even surprised? Also in this ep. Barry checks out Terminator Dark Fate so Dave and Tod, and possibly you, don't have to. Theres also Random Topics, and a round of What's in the Box just because someone has to keep the American economy going. Check out pictures of our WiTB items at RegularJoes.com, and thanks for listening!

  • Episode 311: RI ComicCon 2019 - Alien Number Nine
At this time each year the Regular Joes meet up for the biggest comic con in the smallest state. This time around they were joined by old and new friends Derryl DePriest and Brian Mix. in addition to the traditional recap they get the chance to chat with the men behind two fan favorite characters from the Star Wars universe, Tim Rose aka Admiral Akbar and Mike Quinn who has played Nien Nunb in four of the Skywalker saga films. Both are veteran performers with long histories including the Muppets. As usual a few of the shows other guests, including a Wookie and a famous movie mom, play through. So, pretty much business as usual for their impromptu hotel lobby talk show. Special thanks to superb guest hosts Brian and Derryl and, as always, thanks for listening!

  • Episode 310: If You Take The Fur Off It's All Meat
One week after an encouraging final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker the Disney+ folks drop a last preview of the soon to released streaming series The Mandalorian. Which, the Regular Joes unanimously agree, looks freakin awesome. Over in the Star Trek universe the Trouble with Edward, the most recent Short Treks installment, demonstrates that a) Trek can be funny as long as you are not hung up on canon ... and b) Tribbles are good eatin. DC's streaming series Titans is great. Their choice to play Bruce Wayne, the otherwise capable Ian Glen, not so much. Find who the Joes think would have been better cast. Including various other sexagenarians, because for some reason Dave thinks Batman should be eligible for social security by the time a Titans era Robin hits 30. There's also a round of Random topics, largely focused on people who won't be making a Star Wars film, a Game of Thrones prequel that we will never see, and even more DC superhero's heading for the Small screen soon. Oh, and we also fit in a round of What's in the Box. That's it. We are off to the RI Comicon and some much needed time off for three dudes, who quite frankly, are getting kind of cranky. Thanks for listening!

  • Episode 309: Loosely Based On ...
Regardless of what you might think of the last two Star Wars films it's pretty much impossible to watch the just dropped final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker and not get excited. The Regular Joes, two of whom endured football to see the trailer ... and one who watched seconds before they recorded, give their thoughts and impressions as they begin the countdown to Episode 9. Next up they cover Random Topics and Tod details his crushing disappoint over an abominable adaptation of one of his favorite science fiction stories. Then it's on to a first look at HBO's much anticipated Watchmen and the first, likely of many, ruminations over the upcoming Crisis in the Berlanti/DC Universe of Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends, Black Lightning and now Batwoman. Thanks for listening!
