For the first episode of the new year the Regular Joe's take a last look at 2018 in the rearview mirror. From a unusually positive perspective the Joes focus on the things they liked from the past year. Along with traditional favorites are several things which have not come up previously. Also, an update on "Barry's Dilemma" as he decides, and to some degree rationalizes, just how much he wants to invest in Harrison Ford's retirement fund. This week, Barry and Tod met up at Dave's house to discuss Movies, Toys, TV Shows and more, and to exchange holiday gifts! They started with a discussion about the Timeless series finale, was it was worthy ending to an underrated series? Next Dave and Tod tell Barry what they thought of Aquman…was it a another in a series of DC disasters or did it rise to the level of Wonder Woman? The CW just aired their annual crossover event, this year encompassing Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl (sorry Legends). Elseworlds gives us a first look at Batwoman, soon to have her own series, and rolled out an impressive array of Easter eggs. Find out what the Regular Joes picked up on and what they liked best. You might think we've covered Star Wars The Last Jedi from every angle, we certainly continue to harbor three different perspectives, this time around we set a 10 minute timer and revisited TLJ on the 1st anniversary of its release. For years the Regular Joes have been talking about prop auctions. This week all three of them finally stepped up and bid on a piece of Star Trek history. It's time again to join the Regular Joes as they make their annual visit to Providence Rhode Island for the RI Comic Con, the biggest Con in the smallest state. Joined once again by 4th Regular Joe Derryl DePriest, the guys run down the highs and lows in what has quickly grown to become New England's premier Comic Con. As is tradition, the guys stage their Guerrilla podcast from the lobby of the Providence Omni, this year joined by 200 or so of their fellow Con attendees. This week the Regular Joes check out Netflix The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the most recent, and creepy, adaptation of Archie's spell slinging classmate. Despite Dave thinking Melissa Joan Hart is cuter, the crew are unusually in sync. Barry has a dilemma and Tod and Dave weigh in on, of course, diametrically opposite perspectives. What would you do? In a dark alley a stick wielding masked vigilante brutally dispatches a handful of violent criminals. This could be a scene from Daredevil, but it's not (we will talk about that later.) This is how we are introduced to Robin of DC's streaming service TITANS in the premiere episode. It's a decidedly darker take on what was once a junior sidekicks club. In a split decision we are intrigued. Despite having a building dropped on him in last year's Defenders the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is back, As Marvel's DAREDEVIL gets a third season on Netflix even as the axe falls on two of its sister shows.
