Angela Duckworth is a research psychologist and author. Her 2016 book Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance was a #1 New York Times bestseller.
Diana Nyad is a long-distance swimmer who in 2013, at age 64, succeeded on her fifth attempt to swim over one hundred miles from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage — the first person to have done so.
