Rich Rumsey attended the University of Wyoming at the same time as Matthew Shepard, the gay student who was beaten and tragically left for dead near Laramie in 1998. It was a hate crime that shook him to his core. 20 years later…he would come to understand why, when he finally came out as gay to his own wife and children.
