RHLSTP #610 - Cake in a Graveyard - Richard is excited about the breaking news (at time of recording). Broken years ago by this podcast and treats the audience to his poem about the disgraced Randrew Andrew. His guest is a woman with a life that feels like it has been moulded by Greek Gods fighting with a genie, the very open and frank and incredible Jameela Jamil. And she is not alone. She brings two further guests, one of whom has been vomiting blood. All in a day’s normalcy for Jameela. They discuss he brilliant podcast Wrong Moves with Jameela Jamil, kicking a stunt man in the dick, running into a force field with a cake, the bee-based car accident that nearly killed her, but led to the best year of her life (she claims), the lies she’s told to get jobs and the incredible and unbelievable truths that have accompanied her on her journey, how a school bully led to her becoming an actor (but long after they’d left school), her imminent 40th birthday, how our respective gigs for Elton John went, an incredible story about paying for someone’s IVF that should completely be a sitcom and how Richard might just be a peripheral side character in the simulation that is Jameela’s impossible life. This is up there with Brian Blessed, but I think this time, it’s all true.

#429 Chlorine Allergy - Rich has some cold hard truths for any murderers out there and is also glad to see that his eventless zombie story idea has been so quickly embraced, with a twist. Today is a momentous meeting of Champions of Champions because his guest is Josh Widdicombe. They talk about the worst thing you can take to the hospital when your wife is giving birth, being related to Henry VIII and a man who wiped a king’s bum, what Josh’s disability is, the true motivations of role players, bumping into Beaumont, Josh’s inability to swim, whether we might see the return of the sitcom Josh, tiny women who live in burrows and whether some comedians work so hard that they never get a chance to spend their millions.

Monday May 11th 2026 - Pert Nipples - Rich and Ally are back after a weekend away and Rich is determined to keep the show to its 5 minute time slot. With all the news from the Met Gala. So should be a nice quiet one.
Tuesday 12th May 2026 - Llama Farmer - Rich and Ally are back to get to the bottom of whether the Prime Minister will stay on and whether he is a damp rag or something else all together.
Wednesday 13th May 2026 - King’s Peach - Rich and Ally have news about dogs being kicked in the head and PM’s being kicked in the balls. With an exclusive interview with the next PM?? You don’t get this on the lame-stream news.
Friday May 15th 2026 - The Gig Gokker - Rich and Ally are back for the last Newsround of the week and it’s all about Riches and riches. Not a single song, so nothing to annoy anyone. I am sure everything is fine.

RHLSTP Book Club #179 - Thirst - Part two of the interview with John about his new book Thirst. They chat about why alcohol is addictive because it doesn’t quite work, how annoying it is when authors don’t translate stuff in different languages, Swarfega and lathes, whether it’s OK to still like Woody Allen films (at least the good ones) and what the rules are for all of this, because it isn’t clear

RHLSTP #609 - Comedian Cancer Frankingstein - Rich hasn’t got much to say at the start (hooray) and even then he is not as funny as a man in the audience. His guest is impressionist, comedian and podcaster Matt Forde. They talk about Rich’s Mastermind failure (again?), working on Spitting Image and how weird it is that out of all the characters that show has done, it’s the puppet of Paddington that has got them into the most trouble, working with the divine genius Alice Levine, interviewing the Prime Minister and other dodgy political figures, why there’s a better option than going back in time to kill baby Hitler, plus a long chat about the negatives and surprising positives of having had spinal cancer, why it’s helpful to talk about this and why cancer isn’t as bad as the possibility of Nottingham Forest getting demoted. Another really special podcast. Don’t miss this one.

Tuesday 5th May 2026- Mrs Doubtfire - There’s news of an upcoming royal birth and suspicions of a clever ruse going on, but you can hear about it straight from the shamed-horse’s mouth with a special interview with the grandfather to be.
Wednesday 6th May 2026 - Hypnotherapy Lies - Rich and Ally have breaking news about the most mendacious politician there has ever been and why we must never vote for anyone who tells lies. You will be shocked to the core by these accusations. Plus find out how to get bigger breasts. It's the show that gives you everything.
Thursday 5th May 2026 - Election Day - Rich and Ally cover all the comings and goings as some of the UK prepares to vote for Reform and not “Crack” Polanski.
Friday May 8th 2026 MV Hondius - Rich and Ally are back for the last time this week and they’re looking at the brand new virus that will hopefully spread across the world and get us all into another relaxing lockdown. Plus a report from the deck of the doomed ship, but who will be the reporter today?

#427 Retribution - Richard is hoping to get a bridge named after him in Great Yarmouth and hopefully his fans will do better than they did in getting him nominated for a British Comedy Award. It’s an incredible guest to start the new series, making his first appearance in almost 10 years, Stephen Merchant. Stephen has some questions for Richard about his first stint on the podcast and Richard doesn’t really have any answers. But after a bit of squirming the pair get talking about meeting your heroes, your parents meeting your heroes, how an omelette was the clincher in getting Christopher Walken on to The Outlaws, the KLF style destruction of a Banksy, the Herring’s Eye, the surprising news that drugs can be quite good fun, how Stephen made an impression at a Sarah Silverman party and his move into serious acting. Are they friends again by the end? I guess we’ll find out in ten years time.

He also talks to Dr Sara Kayat about why men are so reluctant to talk to their GP and the myriad of things that go wrong in a scrotum.

They chat about why he wanted to write this book, whether it was difficult to go back over the subject, why it made Rich want to gamble, how it’s helpful to deal honestly with your shame and the stupid stuff you’ve done in your life, epiphanies in stand up careers and why Jesus shouldn’t run a social media account

#438 Naked Beach - Richard reveals whether Great Yarmouth has given him a multi-million pound honour or not. His guest was having a bad time last time they were on, let’s see if they’re doing any better now, it’s the brilliant Catherine Bohart. The pair talk about their respective visits to Iceland and whether Rich’s depleted genitals might end up in a museum, appearing at the ghost Edinburgh Fringe of 2021, whether OCD had any influence over he choice of college, whether the point of life is to experience joy, cats in washing machines and the AI questions finally come good as they prompt an incredible story about a taxidermied squirrel.
