How do we learn from and make the best out of our current situations, for abundance and growth? Dee Marshall sat down with us to discuss how to develop confidence, live intentionally, build strategically toward a better version of ourselves, and how to create plans for abundance each year.

Prior to launching Diverse & Engaged, Dee Marshall spent over twelve years working on Wall Street in training and management and organizational development for Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities, Moody’s Investor Services and The New York Times. Dee was recently named Top 25 Most Influential Black Women in Business by The Network Journal and Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs.


Dee is a genius in leveraging new media, establishing a community service movement in the height of the recession by leveraging social media that grew to a network of over 200k members in three countries and in over 25 U.S. markets. Her company provides services to major corporations to assist with strategy, programs and initiatives to support inclusion, workplace culture, learning and development goals. Dee is a survivor and go-to on career transitions and reinvention. Prior to launching her diversity consulting practice, she built her credibility coaching through career transitions as a result of her own journey down 33 flights of stairs at One New York Plaza on September 11th after witnessing the terrorists attack on the World Trade Center.

Marshall has given of her time and talent to several major nonprofit organizations, including the Board of Directors for the YWCA Central New Jersey, the Women’s Center for Education and Career Advancement New York, the Board of Advisors for Rutgers Small Business Development Center, The New York Women’s Foundation, and others. She is a United Way New York Linkages Board Fellow, a Google Tech Policy Fellow, a certified credentialed Coach and a graduate of the distinguished Skinner Leadership Institute. As a result of her service to women, she has received numerous awards that include the United States of Women Nominated Change Maker, NAACP Community Service Award, Delta Sigma Theta Women of Achievement Award, and many more.
