Rob & Akiva Need a Podcast #115: RAANAP X

Rob Cesternino (@robcesternino) and Akiva Wienerkur (@keev26) need a podcast and every week, Rob and Akiva spin a wheel of listener-submitted podcast ideas, and whatever the wheel lands on is what they podcast about next. This week, the wheel landed on the “RAANAP X” which resulted in Rob and Akiva giving their own version of a TED Talk for the RAANAP Audience with the guidance of RAANAP superfan Kelly White.

After Rob and Akiva conduct RAANAP X, they go through the mailbag to hear what new ideas should be added to the wheel and then spin the wheel to see what will be coming next week in episode 116.

RHAP Rewind | Kid Nation Episodes 2-4 Recap

Welcome to the RHAP Rewind! Each month, we’ll be popping in a new VHS tape to take a look back at some shows from the reality tv archives. Whether it’s a particular season, a full series, or anything in between, we’ll be rewinding the tapes and hopping to a new series each month.

To kick of 2021 with a bang, we’re spending the month of January in Bonanza City for the Kid Nation rewatch! Once again, Rob Cesternino (@robcesternino) and Phil Thompson (@listenupphilip) are rewinding the tapes and establishing their own society as they dive into episodes 2-4 of Kid Nation. Today, Live Feed Correspondent, Melissa Deni (@itsmelissaaa), joins the town council to recap these episodes.

Kid Nation is an American reality tv show featuring 40 children between the ages of 8 and 15. Similar to Survivor, the children establish their own governing rules and society with little adult supervision. Each week, the town council elects gold stars to one child. Kid Nation ran on CBS for one season.

Are there any shows you’d love to see covered on the rewind? Did you originally watch Kid Nation when it first premiered? What are your thoughts on this show looking back? Send us a gold star and share your Kid Nation thoughts with us on Twitter by tagging @RobHasAPodcast and using the hashtag #RHAP!
