Gennifertias, there’s no way you can feel Platonic about the classy actress that we’re venerating this week. Our Miss Thing is a hard comedy queen, a basic-cable drama scene stealer, Australia’s most unexpected export, and the impossibly tasteful star of such hits as ‘Bridesmaids’, ‘Spy’, ‘Damages’, ‘Neighbors’ and ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’ — ROSE BYRNE!! In this ep, Greg looks back on the time he took up spy craft and caused his dad to lose his innocence, while Tim remembers the summer he conned his way into an internship and ended up getting banned from a Boston improv institution. The boys also talk spider bites in your sleep, Rue Rose Shumpert coming for Greg’s crown, cigarette trays being the chicest party accessory, smile piercings being the new tongue piercings, and Maura Higgins being so ‘Batman Forever’ in ‘The Traitors’ finale. Of course, they also ask critical questions like, “What is the scariest way to wake up?”, “Are we in the 21st century or the 20th century?” and “Why would the SAG Awards willingly change their name to the Actor Awards?” Plus, they play another iconic round of pod favorite, “Gay Name or Straight Name” and soon-to-be favorite “Which female celebrity would you let top you?” So Gay Matts, tuck a loose cigarette behind your ear and make sure to put on those headphones that make you gay so you can fully understand this episode.
